Hi,

My super has died?  It gets hot quick and drops FPS...temp hits 88 and then throttles...from what I can tell it must be the pump?  I tried moving the fan but no luck.

Am I right and this is now defunct...as I can not swap the hybrid kit for air cooling?  The card was fine, and still is apart from the temps...if can replace pump or fans and keep her cool she'll be alright for a bit longer?

Installing the 08G-P4-3287-KR air cooler should work just fine.

    can you hear pump running?

Does the pump have cavitation? caused by trapped air bubbles

    What OC are you running?

Cut GPU voltage to 90% - 95% will impact GPU die temps & not impact performance much

Maybe try repasteing the GPU if pump appears to run

Hi and thank you for the replies...

So I am sure the pump is not pumping...

There is water and even if held the fans and tubing up high...tapping everything made no difference.  Been fine for years and last month stopped playing and dropping frames soon after starting a game.

The card continues to get hot, and hits 92 now...usually 88 and then frames drop to 20-30.

So I took the card apart...

Can I just put a heatsink and fan somehow...only needs to cool the card?  Or how can I geta new replacement pump???  That would allow me to use the card for a little while longer...even looking at adding a cpu cooler if can somehow...just needs to help with temps and cant be worse off than having no pump...the backplate gets super hot...the top of pump stays cool and both ends get warm after a while...near the pump as rad ends stay cool!

OK...so had the card apart, left case off and was replying on here, then noticed a noise and pump started working?  Strange!  One tube is now warm and pumps seems to be pumping?!  Temps are 88 and 350 fps on heaven benchmark and stable for 5 mins...

Strange...but seems to be working so will repaste the card, put pump and case back on card and see if works when put back...but would like to replace the pump if possible?!

Options exist in the aftermarket - if you can find one ... look for air cooler or AIO adapter made to fit your GPU

the other option - find a (used, dead) EVGA air cooled card & put the air cooler on yours

-- I'd guess, that any "dead" AIO cards probably have a bad pump also

people have used adapters like this before (make sure to read the details & that it fits Your GPU)

The bracket kit ~ $80 & you need to buy the AIO

NZXT KRAKEN G12 - GPU Mounting Kit for Kraken X Series AIO - Enhanced GPU Cooling - AMD and NVIDIA GPU Compatibility - Active Cooling for VRM - Black
    https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=nzxt+gpu+bracket

There was a thread where a member did surgery on the AIO ... changed the fluid ... I'll loo for it

EDIT found thread: "servicing sealed AIO" units -- one thread on that subject is SILVERSTONE PERMAFROST PF240 ARGB AIO CPU LIQUID COOLER Repair

Just remember each series of GPU ... yours being a 20 series had different spacing for the 4 bolts around the GPU die.  So a 10 series or 30 series cooler will probably not fit   .... I'm not sure if anyone has ever adapted between generations

Don't forget you need to cool the RAM & other components (that have thermal pads) if you want to "Frankenstein your own fix.
