Hello! An hour ago I bought this video card and was very surprised by its temperatures, Msi Kombuster easily warms up to almost 70 degrees at 100% rpm of both fans. What nonsense?

Something is up for sure. Air in line or weak pump maybe.

Post a picture of how you have the rad mounted. Do you hear any noises from the card?

Room Temp ?

Case ?

Case fans ?

Open case side, does temp drop ?

Where & how is the radiator mounted ? (intake exhaust / location in the case)

what OC settings are you using, if any ?

Yes, I hear the sound of "dripping water" and I hear the nasty buzzing sound of a pump. The radiator is mounted on the back wall for blowing

Cool GTX
Room Temp ? ~25

Case ? Aerocool P7-C0

Case fans ? 3*120 on top, 2*140 on top and radiator on back

Open case side, does temp drop ? no

Where & how is the radiator mounted ? (intake exhaust / location in the case)

what OC settings are you using, if any ? win 10 last updates

Do you have the rad mounted with the hoses on the bottom or the top? If top, try remounting the rad so the hoses are on the bottom.

Re: 2080 Super FTW3 Hybrid 2020/02/11 10:10:01 (permalink)
You will get better temp using the Cooler as an intake (coldest room air) over the Hybrids radiator

"Case fans ? 3*120 on top, 2*140 on top and radiator on back"

Is the 3*120 in the Front or Top ?

OC = overclock

Are you using EVGA X1 or any other OC software - if you are what settings have you changed ?

In your first Post - you mentioned running the fans @ 100%

This case ?  Aerocool P7-C0

If you didn't have the rad mounted with the hoses on the bottom, and you corrected that, and are still having problems you could try redoing the thermal paste on the card as the card may have a bad thermal paste application that could be causing the high temp issue. No, reapplying the thermal paste does not void the warranty on the card as long as you don't damage the card in the process.

I can only fix it this way, otherwise the hoses do not bend or the holes do not match

The hoses need to be on the bottom.

I can’t put them down, they are on the side as in the photo. If I turn the radiator with the hoses down, I can’t fix it

Now the truth is better temperatures, but still higher than it should be, it seems to me

You should be able to put that rad in front of the case at the with the hoses down.

They really need to include more explicit instructions with these things.

Oh yeah I've seen that.  Maybe they could have made it bigger?  MORE EXPLICIT!!!!???  lol.

Or maybe OP could have read the directions for his $750 GPU.

Nah.

The hoses being at the top most likely isn't the issue. I run my 2080 ti kingpin with the hoses at the top, and my rad is below the gpu. I'm thinking either the pump is faulty, or the thermal paste needs to be redone.

well, air in the pump is "faulty pump" too.
so at least need to check if problem exist with normal orientation and withour air in the pump.

if it will not help (well, at least you will not hear gurgling sound from your pump, just a high frequency tone) - next thing to check is thermal paste on die itself.
and also if you have to open your gpu - you also can try to connect your pump to motherboard and control it speed, so it will be less noisy.

my 2080ti hybrid sitting on 58C under heavy load @full speed with overclock (so card consume about 350-370 watts) and at 70c in games @low rpm (like 800-1200rpm instead of 2000).
