MX-4 is still respectable even though it has been around for eons

Whoa, that's pretty cheap per gram, especially given it's got Noctua on the label. Surprised it isn't beige or brown.  Guess I know what paste I'm getting for Zen 4, can't beat that value!
 Have water, will cool.

Never had some but might pick a tube up to test it out. I currently have gc-extreme on my 7980 after kryonaut scratched my coldplate and it's temperatures have been very good for me.

I use MX-4 which is carbon based and it does not damage coolers or processors My H115i is cool as the proverbial cucumber

did arctic silver 5 get a name change still have a giant tube of that i have been using for years its not listed or is it just that bad it did not make the list edit never mind found it its only a 2 degree diffrence

Anyone know where I can pick up some ProlimaTech PK-3 Nano Aluminum? Newegg is showing it is out of stock; actually everywhere I've looked seems to be out of stock :(
I was thinking of picking up some Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, but I've heard this stuff starts to lose its' performance after 80 degrees cel.
I've always used IC Diamond & have been happy with it. It lasts along time where I dont need to reapply it. It's not available, and has been out of stock for a bit. Innovation Cooling mentioned they are expecting more in from 3M soon.
Supply has also been affected by the pandemic, too :(

The best and the worst conventional thermal pastes in that list are only 4.2 degrees apart. There are so many other things you can do (on purpose or on accident) which will make so much more difference. Irrelevant.

Gelid GC Extreme is supposed to be very good for repasting gaming laptops. It doesn't dry out even with very high temps.

Happy to see Kryonaut near the top since I just repasted a 3080FE with it, CPU is using it, and still have a bit left. Using it every chance I get before it dries out like the rest of my paste!

For the best (non-liquid-metal) thermal paste, we've got a new contender. It’s the Alpenföhn Permafrost 2. In general, it's almost always on a similar level to the Kryonaut (and it's cheaper).
In the segment of the excellent performance/price ratio products, we can recommend the Thermal Grizzly Aeronaut/Hydronaut, Cryorig CP5, and the Zalman STC9.
