Amazon always has crummy "newer model" nonsense. They keep telling me a 4x16GB ram kit is superseded by an 8x8GB ram kit. That ups looks good, but I really need a larger capacity. My current rig is on a 1600W power supply and the backup system is on a 1000W power supply. Only the streaming/Skype computer has less power available at 750W.

What I use for Serious UPS loads More Power 1350W: CyberPower PR1500LCDRT2U Smart App Sinewave UPS System, 1500VA/1350W, 8 Outlets, AVR, 2U Rack/Tower Amazon link 1350W CyberPower PR1500LCDRT2U Greater Power 1500W: CyberPower PR1500LCDRTXL2U Smart App Sinewave UPS System, 1500VA/1500W Amazon link 1500W CyberPower PR1500LCDRTXL2U As big as I've found that works on a standard 120V outlet found in homes. Time for a custom circuit if you like your UPS any bigger

Just putting up the reminder - If you are looking to sign up and have been holding out, PLEASE DO IT NOW! 9pm EST is the cut off. I can NOT guarantee that I'll be able to slip anyone in after the cutoff this year as things have been extra busy at Chez Pimp. d

@ HK-Steve Well for some Dark Swiss chocolate I might be tempted to tell you ...... GMT +01:00 hour = Switzerland (so, your 6 hr ahead of East Coast) https://greenwichmeantime.com/ https://greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/eastern-time/ (excerpt) The Eastern Time Zone is an area 5 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time ( GMT-5 ) during the winter months (referred to as EST) and 4 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time ( GMT-4 ) during the summer months (referred to as EDT). At the moment, the following schedule is used: see this post https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2882304 troy8d

- The contest begins Tuesday November 27th, 2018. Registration closes November 26th.
Quick question for Clarity --> What Time on Tuesday November 27, does this start ?
(excerpt from rules) "The contest will start at midnight (Eastern Time US) on Tuesday November 27th"
Is this intended to mean the first second of 27 Nov ---> 00:00:01 (one second after midnight 26 Nov ?)
What we do is take the points level reported by Standford at the 12:00 AM 11/27/18 update and use that as the starting point of the contest. Any points reported in the 1:00AM update and later are part of the contest stats. So I guess the answer is yes, anytime after 00:00:01 on 11/27/18. I will update the contest page to reflect this more precise definition when I get a chance.
