One of my 980s is 74% that's the one getting the hybrid kit and the other is 68% I know that 68 board is holding the other back in sli, but they can both fold rock solid @ 1500mhz using the custom bios on overclock.net I'm gonna try and push the 74 card once it's under water and see what it can do.

All this talk about ASIC scores got me curious to see what one my GPU's would score. The GTX660 SC got a score of 80.9%. Now I'm also curious about my other GPUs (GT420, GTX660Ti FTW+, 2x GTX560Ti SC).

Zuhl3156 I had many problems with Core x21 WU last night. I think there were two that were unable to recover and Stanford aborted the progress. I had one for each video board. I am using 358.50 drivers if that makes any difference. I've only had any kind of corruption once in the past month and it recovered successfully. I think it was only two WU but it might have been three. My log file is on my OneDrive if someone could look at it for me. Maybe these are problem WU? https://onedrive.live.com/prev?cid=88f4e6602aa54082&id=88F4E6602AA54082!5340&authkey=!AL09khtCa2mazuM&v=TextFileEditor
Those core 21s use a lot more power than the core 18s. I know my cards run 7-10c warmer. We talked about this yesterday. That's why I will run close to stock speeds over the long haul of this TZC.

Thanks, I have the client-type = beta set. IDK what to change it to or do I just delete it? Maybe change it to 'Advanced'? I have two WU running right now and they will both finish in about an hour. That would be the time to change anything if I need to.

I have mine set to beta, and I am not getting any feedback that work units have finished in the last 9 hours. I am guessing that FAH I causing lockups on Beta, and now I have to get someone with basic computer knowledge to go by the house and correct it if possible.

OK, finishing up now. I'll see what happens. One WU didn't find any corruption until it got to around 50% as far as I remember but it continued and finished fine after recovering. That first WU kept finding corruption after only 5% didn't it? Maybe it was corrupted when it downloaded. It makes me wonder if Stanford isn't having their usual weekend problems. I had one WU finish and hung on 99% for a long time with 1 second remaining. I paused and restarted the WU and it went back to 4 minutes and hung again. It finally 'Sent' the packet and it already had a new WU downloaded and 'Ready' and waiting for almost 5 minutes.

What do I do? Change it to Advanced or just remove that data by deleting the 'client-type' 'beta' and insert spaces?

Just go into config, and simply change the word beta to advanced. It's really that simple. Once the units are fijished, they will pull advanced units rather than beta.

I just set both of my slots to 'advanced' and got core 18s. The last 21 I had also failed at about 65%, so it looks like I'll be out of the Beta pool for a little while. d

Were you running stock clocks when those wu's failed at 5%? Could very well be just a bad wu.

OK, thanks. I have a 1 hr and 17 minute wait if all goes well. This is killing my ppd average. I have one WU that fell back to last known point and it dropped from 25% back to 13%. Right now it's sitting at 74.80% so it seems to have worked out the kinks.

My two 980s are 73.9 and 72.1
Don't really know what it means, but that's what it says.
Oddly enough my reference model from Gigabyte (purchased much earlier) has the higher score.

ASIC scores? That's a pretty nice match if that's what you're talking about.

Isn't the client-type advanced mainly for cpus? I know there are beta gpu units, but I'm not getting any less points not having a flag set.

I have always got better work units with advanced. They take longer, but the points are usually higher than beta.
If I used to get really fast, but extremely low point units without the advanced flag. Maybe that has changed.

I've been getting those 8-9 hour units that net ~120k points a piece. Even with no flag set. So, that's why I'm thinking only beta matters for GPUs.

With advanced, I generally pick up 3 -5 hour units pushing 120k, so it may depend on the gpu.
I cant see signatures, so I can't see which ones you have.

Go to slot config where you input client-type beta for the gpu, and type advanced instead of beta, lol

.... I don't have a pc within 3,000 miles to look at. If it is normally typed beta, type advanced instead of beta. If you normally type client-type, leave it alone. I can't help past that. You are only changing one word. If you already have beta set up, simply delete the word beta and type advanced and save it. Stanford has a walk through here: https://folding.stanford....e/configuration-guide/Then hit Ok. Nothing changes but the word beta.
