Alright, I think enough people have made their point of view known. Now can we move on and focus on the matter at hand. And worry about comming on top in Chimp Challenge. We could go forever on they should or shouldn't donate and in the end all that will happen is people will go away mad at one another. GO TEAM EVGA. I'm in it for the long haul prizes or no prizes. And I think in the end the rest of you feel that way as well.

I hate to say it, but Truly EVGA Corporation should be Ashamed that they dont themselves Provide Prizes such as the above or Better. What we do is good but again we are left doing for one another out of our own kindness.

When will EVGA step up?
We Make them Number One and they dont offer anything. What gives? They have an accountant that can write it off, its not money. Its just their lack of interest or concern.

EVGA is just fine with most Team EVGA folders. They are already accused of bribing me into putting up 150k or 350k for that which I would do regardless. If folding for reward that is of lower value than the Science.... Maybe we/you/any should just fold for the sake of folding.

Not if I remember correctly. I believe that one or two team members had purchased a few ahead of time and sent them to the winners.

I had sent an e-mail to Shane asking about any kind of donation that EVGA could possibly make for this. The answer is that EVGA, as a company wide policy, does not donate to community driven initiatives. When you think about it, EVGA does a LOT of giveaways on their own (EVGA Bucks for folding, EVGA Bucks for BRs, EVGA Bucks for Affiliate Code, Affiliate giveaway monthly, MODS RIGS sponsorship, 10th anniversary, 11th anniversary, when we hit #1, other various giveaways every couple of months). It adds up after a while. I can't wait until we pass Default and see what they might have up their sleeves.

TeamEVGA was created by folks who HAPPEN to be members of EVGA's forum, not by EVGA itself.  I personally fold for this team out of loyalty to the other team members who have become a family to me, and NOT out of any loyalty to EVGA, the company.

The idea that EVGA owes us ANYTHING is like saying we are required to purchase a certain amount of merchandise to have access to these forums.

EVGA has NOTHING to be ashamed of as they are not a part of this contest, nor should they be.  Again, the team name is BORROWED because of the forum we happen to be members of.

Wicha all the way folding brother!

They owe us nothing I could go to any other forums and fold for them.  Do they do anything special for their team half the time? NO!  Are they close knit as us?  NO!  I fold for the goodness of which it stands.  I love EVGA they have nothing to be ashamed of.  They promote folding sure but we choose to do so.  They are not forcing to you to fold for them.  Hell I hate to be blunt and mean but if you think it is wrong just fold under your name and give your self a pat on the back.  Bottom line is EVGA and other teams alike have nothing to be ashamed of. What make EVGA's Folding team so grand is the people in it.  You will never find the kind of individuals all in one place like this.  You know how lucky you are to even know half these guys?

Ninja's ALL The Way brother "A". It's nice to have an opportunity for "STUFF" while folding, I guess. But it "IS" Family here first..... and Science.

+1KJ. That being said, I have never believed (in my short tenure here) that anything other than our Family Atmosphere was keeping anyone here. I can do 350K in 10 days. I'm just having HW problems that keep me splitting My PPD over 3 teams. NOT for the CC though.

i dont really care about the prizes really , i mean it would be nice if i won something in the contest but if i dont get picked for a prize thats cool with me as well ,  it will be a fun competition and great cause for science.. but think about how many points and how much you fold for yourself under your personal name and there isnt a prize ... so what prizes we have donated for the cc no matter how small sounds great imo somthing is always better than nothing

Gaming/Folding rig: I7 5820k , 16gb ram ddr 4 , MSI 1080ti

While I agree with the facts that they do participate in a lot of giveaways on their own, and Folding @ EVGA is community created/driven, they Could Choose to Participate, such as they did when hitting #1 or further with offering some hardware or swag. I will fold whether or not I get a cookie, in the end for me its all about the work.
I just think it is a shame that they cannot match the generosity of Dutchforce, Barbarossa, yourself, or any of the donors in the list making it happen for that matter.

Ok, Horse=Dead+Beaten, my $.02 input, moving on........

Nothing fancy, but I use the hell out this thing with my monthly cleanings. I figured folders running their systems hard can get a lot of use out of it too and not need to buy canned air.

When I sign up I the folding name right? And when do we post screen shots everyday or at the end? Also should I donate a psu?

Also should I put a low number for the PPD and then maybe over do it? Sorry only been folding for a year or so.

You put both your folding name and your forum name.  You only need to post a screenshot once, but need to fold throughout the contest to be eligible for the prize drawing.

You are more than welcome to donate a PSU, there is a folder out there that could put it to good use!

For PPD, put your best estimate.  It simply allows us to estimate what our production will be during the contest.
