Video of that 289 sounds fun.  As far as the paint, Ford blue, white or silver pinstripe. Some things, just better staying classic. But that's just me.

ok I have a crane vacuum advance coming to see if it fixes the advance issue , I am praying it not the breaker plate bushing (inside the distrib under the points) , if so I have to install a new distributor which I have only due to mom helping me get it . I ll update some more later

I've been out of the loop for decades, but what can you get out of a stroked NA 289, New carb, aluminum heads? And, would any newer 5-6speed tranny bolt to a 289 bell housing?

Nice tranny. Nice to see you can still build a 289 stroker at a decent cost. I was curious 289(327ci)  would even come close to 400lbs torque?

also mom pt cruiser I drive due to her being blind died trans is shot , then my little brother bought a 98 prelude that had some body damage that got fixed , my dads 91 f150 5.8 water pump puked really bad . I am taking a break from working on cars period due to back issues I figured about 3 weeks down time

ok so 3:55 ring and pinion install kit ordered along with painless 22 circuit wiring for car to rewired along with some other new goodies pics coming soon 3:55 will be installed next month I hope at my mechanic time
I feel bad about spending money on a classic but I figured it worth it

exhaust manifold installed old ones one had a crack in it
new bolts and lock tabs too

new mid to rear brake lines in rebleed them new oem style exhaust in
also bought new guage holder conversion kit for radio speaker / defroster on dashpad for my aftermarket gauges pics soon

Did those sparkplugs come pre-swearing? Had some bleep bleeps installing those plugs?

no the went easy just had to gap them i had a easy time even doing the exhaust manifolds too easy in easy out
the only issue i have to face is the driver bottom exhaust to manifold flange bolt , that one has to be put on before the exhaust manifold is tighten down to specs due to zbar clearance fro 11/16 socket

pics soon  the bad news is waiting on more parts wiper switch , heater core and box etc fan blower ,
had to put points back in my pertronix kit burned up and quit but good news is car is rewired front to back completely with painless 22 circuit
 
other bad is I think I have two wheel cylinders leaking and another part of brake line in front needs replaced so until I get this fixed my car is grounded at home so much for driving it I feel kinda bummed burned out but I guess it just maintenance that caught up on some parts but Monday ill have more parts in

3:55 ring and pinion installed with new seal and bearings period. oil leak fixed . soon sub frame connectors.
 
now for the bad news I may need to have block line honed , or something like that. cause main bearings, some were looking wore even though I haven't been driving much at all.
now down to some body paint work and get my sub frame connectors in is just about it.
post pics later of ring and pinion in which I learned how to do them future.

The few longblocks Ive rebuilt, I always honed, then brushed/Polished, new pistons, rings, rods/bolts, even if it didnt look like it needed it. Whats a little more time and a few extra $100's vs the total build. Just me though. Wouldnt hurt to balance and polish the crankshaft too.

spoke too soon stupid oil leak back motor coming out this month later along with tranny I have shop take a look if anything I may just scrap this project and quit tired of it I might get a 347 stroker crate don't know yet errgghhhhhhhhhhh! looks like my tri titan x with hybrids coolers get to to ebay
