to start off, Im running a 144hz asus monitor. I received my 1080ti FE yesterday put it into my system and low and behold I cannot get either of my display port cables to work on it. So I unplugged the cable and plugged in my hdmi cord to see if that works and it did. I go to change my hz from 60 to 144 and nothing cant change it at all. So then I took off the hdmi and used the dvi to display port cable that came with the card and same thing I cannot go above 60hz. Is anyone else having this same issue?

Did you try all the Display ports on the card? If your cables worked before on another card, maybe the ports are bad? Might want to call tech support.

That adapter is single link DVI only (60Hz, not any higher). You'd need an active dual-link DVI adapter to get more than 60Hz. What resolution for HDMI? HDMI is bandwidth limited, and I doubt you are going to get 144Hz with it - 1080P at 120Hz is possible. As for your DP cables not working - not too sure. Are they VESA certified?

The adapter is display port to DVI not DVI to display port. Does your monitor have a DisplayPort input?

Let me just get this straight: Display port on card to display port on monitor: No signal Hdmi on card to HDMI on Monitor: Works fine Display port on card to DVI adapter to DVI port on monitor: Works fine Correct? You either have a bad DP cables or bad input on your monitor. Make sure your input is set to DP on your monitor too, not Auto.

Is there something specific about port B versus C or D?

With your DP cable Plugged in to your Monitor and into B above unplug the Power Cable to your Monitor count to 5 and plug it back in. Turning of the Monitor Power Button will NOT WORK. "Is there something specific about port B versus C or D?" Yes this is the Priority of the Ports on this card. EVGA GTX 1080Ti What are the Primary Port Order or Priority Order Witz762

No one is saying you can't, we are troubleshooting the DP Port and Monitor issue.

I had this problem yesterday. Could only get HDMI working on the GTX 1080 ti. Display port gave me no signal. To fix it I had to enable multi monitor in Bios and prioritise the onboard GPU as the primary after that display port works. After doing a bios update everything reset and had to reconfigure it again lol. I also found this which I have not tried yet, but may also work without having to set multi monitor and onboard GPU on. In power options (system & security) under PCI Express turn off Link State Management Control Panel-Advanced Power Options, disable USB selective suspending option In UEFI BIOS: under graphics card settings change from AUTO to PCI-E After doing this, you can get into BIOS screen every time, instead of having to plug in a DVI enabled display.

Hello, so you are using onboard integrated CPU graphics as well as the 1080ti?

No intentionally, its the only way I can get DisplayPort to give me a signal. I will however check to see if it's that. Getting DisplayPort to work, I had to set multi monitor support, changed the primary monitor from auto to a specific one and enabled the iGPU. Ill try just one at a time to see if it is one or all the settings needed.

Nope, it maybe a monitor specific problem (Dell 5K). I have ordered a new one (ROG 34 UW) will see if that helps

You are very welcome. I seem to have the same DP issue on all my Computers that use DP Cables. I even spent the Extra Money on VESA Certified Display Port Cables and still once in a while have to pull the Power Plug. Glad to see you up and running now.

Thanks for the image bcav, no info in manual, I attached mine to the port nearest motherboard out of habit. LOL Although mine worked right off the bat I did change it to B port.
