I shipped my Classified in yesterday. Should arrive tomorrow and I am guessing I'll get the 1080 Ti early next week.

depends really how much does noise bother you? as the reference cards seem to oc just as well.+- the normal silicon lottery but they end up needing 75% fan speed to control thermals.

It would be nice for it to be quiet, but if performance is similar I don't care. Plus I might get a hybrid cooler for it if I'm stuck getting an FE

LOL enjoy.  I'm not going that far.  If I took a day off there would be a delivery exception and I'd be out a day's pay while my card was stuck in limbo...  I'm off at 2:30 and the UPS guy generally shows between noon and 4pm anyway.  My condo is in a big complex and UPS leaves packages with the office people anyway.  No worries about having to be home or having to have someone sign for it... It will be there when I get home.

Hey guys I have a question for those people who have done the step up from the 1080 acx to the 1080 ICX. When you submit the step up for this 1080 ti, did you add on the $100 fee from the ICX step up to the original price you paid for the ACX? So, IE. ACX = $900 + ICX step up cost $100?

Sorry if this has been answered. I can't find an answer anywhere...

Good Lord.. I think for how good this program is that it's entirely not worth it for people on the east coast. Between shipping both ways I just spent like 80 dollars on shipping for the slowest option there and then 2 day back.

So to step up from my 1080 FTW2 to a FE 1080ti it cost me around 200 bucks when at face value it should have been like a 110 dollar difference.

I'm not complaining or blaming EVGA. I Guess im just in shock with how much shipping costs are these days. I think the guy quoted like 170 or something crazy for 2 day shipping there.

UPS btw.

Yeah, it's true... but it's better then selling the card and losing money. It's cheaper to go this route with the step up....

I think the ACX cards should be replaced with their ICX equivalent.. The choices at the moment are not desirable at all across the ranges..

Depends though. I think selling my 1080 to someone in a nearby state and then just buying the ti somewhere that offers free shipping could have saved some money for sure.

My ICX upgrade is en route from EVGA as of today.  I went ahead and initiated the step-up request to speed things up and used the $679.99 value as was indicated by EVGA in the forums.  The system wants my invoice to be uploaded.  Will the card arrive with some document, or do I not need to do this since the ICX card is coming from EVGA directly?

They're a weird exception. Most companies have business partnerships with Fedex/UPS. I have had video cards, full tower cases, and even 50 inch tv's sent to me from across the US. From Amazon it's still free with Prime, or would have been like 20 bucks ground normal shipping for 3-5 days.

Places like newegg offer ground 3-5 day shipping at similar prices.

EVGA is either hiking the price or making us pay the difference so they save money by passing on any partnership fees with UPS/Fedex.

As for us shipping stuff, well, yeah, that's normal. Consumer shipping is regular pricing because we don't operate on a business partnership or anything. Always going to be a decent penny, that's why I'm glad Ebay has partnership setup for us and most companies have excellent return policies so we don't have to pay out the ass for return shipping.

Ah well, I can't really complain, I'm lucky as is to be right next to them...

My card was shipped out to me on 3/28 at 7:00 PM.  I live in Colorado.. I hope it can get here by Friday but I'm doubting it =(.  There's no ETA on the tracking info.

I paid $34; $22 shipping and $12 for insurance, from near Chicago to EVGA, by UPS ground, their cheapest shipping.  Shipped on a Friday, arrived at EVGA the next Thursday but received by EVGA on Friday.  EVGA charged me $22.19 for the shipment of the new card back to me.  Supposed to be here on Friday between 9:45 and 1:45.  When I shipped, I asked how much for the next quickest shipping and it was twice as much but only one day quicker.

I can't begin to imagine how much UPS and FedEx would charge if they didn't have some competition from the Post Office!

It seems like they have partnerships to me.  When I was shipping from Missouri to EVGA it was going to be $32 UPS Ground or like $28 USPS Priority with insurance.  Them to me via ground was like $12 when I did step-up.

USPS nailed it for me though..  I sent it on Friday and it was there on Monday morning.  UPS was going to take 3 more days.

That's weird, because I'm a lot closer than you and return shipping overnight was $65 which is ridiculous. That was the same price my friends over in Texas had to pay too... so it might just be the bottom barrel standard ground shipping price.

Overnight shipping elsewhere, even for big boxes, usually doesn't get to $65.

At this point I don't care much. Even if EVGA finally started selling the hybrid kit right this very second I still probably wouldn't get it until next Monday, so meh. I'm doing some indie gaming on my OC cpu with out issue (Shovel Knight currently) and next Tuesday is Persona 5's release I won't be on my PC for a while anyways, so I think it's a good time for me to be thrown into queue.
