I restarted my computer (Just because I haven't done so in a weekish) and now my second monitor on my 1060 isn't being detected. No updates that I am aware of were installed during the restart. I updated drivers and did a restore point incase it was a windows update. I plug in the cable to the 1060 and the second monitor lights up and says "no signal input check video cable". I tried a second cable and it also does not work. I tried older drivers and the newest one with no luck.
Windows 10 1060 6gb Using hdmi->dvi cable on one not working. The one that is working is dvi to dvi. I do not have any display cords for the other ports, but how else can I make sure it's not the port that randomly went bad? I've had this setup for a few months and out of the blue this happens.

Lets see what we can do to get you back to 2 monitors

What are the monitors in question ?

Has the Input setting on the Monitor changed ?  If set to Auto, try to manually set it to the input you want

Have you done everything in this guide ?  Nvidia How to set up multiple monitors

Unfortunately I don't have the model numbers on me but I will see when I get home if they are on my newegg account history. One is LED and the other LCD. Both have only a DVI/VGA port. I use the DVI and Hdmi Port on the 1060 (have used these the past 3 months without issue). The Dvi uses a Dvi-Dvi cable, and the Hdmi port uses a Hdmi-Dvi cable. The Hdmi port is where I'm having issues. Both work when connected to the Dvi port via the Dvi cable. Both do not work when connected via the hdmi port (tried a brand new cable with no luck as well).

I have rolled back the driver (no luck) and tried a restore point incase it was a windows update (also no luck). I feel like it has to be some setting that took place during the restart because it was went from working to not right after the restart. As far as the guide goes, the windows display settings and Nvidia control panel are not detecting the one monitor when connected to the hdmi port (dvi port not having issues).

I am going to try a few things when I get home. I am going to try just one monitor connected to the hdmi port and see if that works (does it default to the one connected to the dvi port as the first monitor?). I will also try to get my hands on a cable to connect via the display port to see if those work. Any other suggestions are much appreciated!

Can they happen just like that? It worked fine before the restart and then bam not able to detect from the hdmi port. Are there any other ways I can test it (aside from trying the display ports)?

Yep. Only way to test would be with different cables & monitors.

Damn, I love this card. First time I'll have an issue with a graphics hard related to just the hardware. Oh well it was bound to happen eventually. Thanks a lot for the help everyone!

Side note, how long does the replacement process take? I have classes starting in a week and a half so I kinda need it to be up and running by then. 2-3 weeks I imagine?

Hard to say how long it will take, shouldn't take more than a week though. If you think the problem is related to settings in your os you could test the card in another system or install windows on another partition for testing.

I didn't think ports could just go like that so I assumed it was a setting issue, but I've tried everything I can think of that would affect it. I've been looking around for info to see if people have had similar issues, but most issues were resolved from things i've tried already.

Try lowering the refresh rate or screen res just for kicks to see if your cable is unable to accept the high bandwidth?

Also try unplugging the hdmi and plugging it in again.. pushing it in all the way?? Also try turning the monitor on and off with the hdmi cable unplugged.

Both monitors only do 60hz. I have used two different cables (which can handle the 1920x1080 I am using) and both result in the same outcome unfortunately. I will try the monitor on+off with the hdmi unplugged (I have tried with two different monitors though but here's to hoping). Is that supposed to reset something? Thanks for the suggestions!
