Been here a long time (17 years), mostly reading and lurking.  Will be sad to see it go if it ends up going that way.

My Twitch TEAMEVGA subscription just expired after years of being subscribed. Didn't see much point renewing it again. Sad.

Poking around the forum after the waves of news - just put in an order for an X570 Dark as a bit of a swan-song.

While I ended up getting my 780i from XFX not evga, I ran a P55, Z68, have my Z87 on my shelf and a Z370K Classified in my main system currently.
13 years of Evga boards has been a cool journey to ride along.

The motherboard team has been real - it's a damn shame - will keep an eye out for Evga in future for every new segment they enter.

I think the Techpowerup forum has an interesting variety of topics, is quite active, is innovative, and people are overall helpful or ask questions they actually are open to answers about.

I always pop in here and there, sad to see things slowly fade out. While I wasn't very active, it was fun to watch all the new builds and plan my next one. Same as with all of the gaming forums and other places I hung out for hours, things are changing. I do miss the community feeling that used to be in gaming and pc building, Reddit doesn't have that same feel for me. I feel old explaining to my kids how it all used to be..lol

Never got past losing out on server lists in games and some of the old software like xfire. Gaming kind of got boring for me when matchmaking and all that took over, just felt robotic and disconnected from everyone. I mostly play SP games now.

The problem with this forum is that it is boring.  The majority of active users seem to be either:
1) the low-key bragging type.  'oops!  I just accidentally spent another $2k on the next boring boxed product. whoops! everyone look.'
2) the hopeless screwed.  'I bought this thing that EVGA no longer supports. what can I do?'

Before this, it was affiliate spam and really really bad favoritism and financial handouts for those who stooped to that level.

The fun thing about Techpowerup forums (and places like that) is that it seems to be visited by those who are hungry for knowledge, people who aren't rich, and people who are innovative and interested in making the most of what they have and sharing their knowledge with people who actually are interested in reading it.

There is nothing left here.  This place was ruined.  We used to have interesting discussions.  And guides.  And hunger.  Everyone interesting left long ago.  EVGA destroyed this community.  All that is left is fained interest in peoples' opinions and arguments about why I made up my mind before I ever asked the question.

When EVGA ended the GPU business a lot of EVGA members left or only contribute occasionally. I was hoping that EVGA would introduce new accessories that would invigorate the membership, but so far that hasn't happened.

My life has been upside down busy the last 8 years or so. This was one of my few forums I still managed to spend any time on. A lot of genuine amazing people here. It was a killer to see EVGA leave the GPU market, but I pat them on the back for sticking it to the man. The GPU market is forever tainted in my eyes. Thankfully many of us were here for the "Golden years" on the EVGA forums. Having started my EVGA Journey with a 7800 GTX ACS3 back in 2005/2006, they gave me nothing but great service over many many cards and years later. What a cool community to have been a part of. Even all the mod's over there years we're extremely commendable. Sajin if you're still around; you were one of the  greatest, most helpful people on this this forum. My hats off good sir. And to so many others. Shall this forums close before my return. Thank you EVGA for all the great years, wishing all you fellow forum members the absolute best. God speed in your journey's ahead.

18 years for me. I still drop in every now and then to see what's going on in the forums and to keep tabs on members I've known a long time here. Sad to see this institution coming to an end.

Wow...16 years for me! Where has the time gone?!
I do miss EGC a lot, but there just isn't much in the way of dedicated server support in games nowadays.
EVGA has always been and continues to be awesome in their support over the years, including for my "home" LAN, PDXLAN.

I am on the ASUS forums/discord, HWinfo discord, overclock.net forums, MSI discord, intel discord, some of the builder companies discords, in some of the PC fb groups these new enthusiast are funny as they take reviewers/youtubers as gospel instead of the real enthusiast.

Been wondering the same. Need a new home to geek out and soak in all the good info (not the paid reviewer bs videos). Is [H]ardforum ok? I looked at Overclock.net but it looked like some fugly twitter feed rather than a forum, although that was apparently just the home page, not the actual forum. Would be nice to find something with a bit of a community like EVGA has (had)...

I've been checking out techpowerup since I wrote that post. So far mostly good. There are a lot more people and more activity, so obviously that comes with pros and cons (the AMD/Nvidia posts get a bit needlessly spicy sometimes lol). Overall, most people seem genuinely interested in helping each other and there's a good variety of noob up to super enthusiasts. Quite a nostalgic old-hardware community too. I haven't found anything better anyway.
