Please can someone from EVGA comment on Europe/UK availability? It's been weeks since they were available in the US. ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI and Plait have all managed to make stock available in Europe over the past couple of weeks.

I get the impression that they (NVidia and it's suppliers) were not expecting this kind of demand for the Titan X....

4K popularity has skyrocketed recently which is pushing the demand for the Titan X quite a bit, I suspect.

I may have to throw in the towel and prefer mine from Nvidia. Anyone familiar with their warranty and customer service? What's it like? I see myself selling this card in maybe 7 months. So resell value will still be good at least.

You don't buy a Titan X to sell it in 7 months.  If you want to do that I'd buy 2x 980's.

Agreed with AnonymousGuy, you buy a Titan X so in 12 months you can buy another and SLI it (if needed).

I'll choose how I spend my money, lol. I have an mITX system and, while I have considered SLI a few times, a single graphics card solution is more my preference.

When I get my Titan X, I'm going to liquid cool it somehow. It'll be an AIO solution or a full custom setup (would be my first time doing that) and it's very possible I could end up keeping it till Pascal.

You have to realize, especially on the evga forums, a lot of people constantly upgrade their graphics cards. Look at all the 980s for sale ever since the Titan X was announced. This is an enthusiast area of the PC world. There's nothing wrong with wanting bleeding edge tech.

I have this exact setup and the temps are fine. Per usual the top card runs hotter than the lower card.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. The Amazon review had something about the cards idling at 50C which I don't understand. Maybe it's something unique to that machine. I have reviewed a few sites today on SLI for Titan X and none mention temps that high. ??

Mine are idling right now at 40C on GPU1 and 34C on GPU2 probably GPU1 had more thermal paste slopped on it than GPU2.

I badly need to get these cards waterblocked.  I can't OC and play BF4 without a crash after 20 minutes because the cards get too hot and the default fan profile doesn't ramp aggressively enough.  Just waiting on some double sided thermal tape to get here on Friday and I can finally finish up rev.9 of my WC setup.

Basically no airflow since normally everything is waterblocked.  These are the temps with the side of the case off.  It's also the Rosewill Blackhawk Ultra case so pretty much the whole thing is made of mesh.  So lots of fresh static air for the cards to breath.

Tangent:
My case sides have been off for the past 3 weeks while the loop is under rennovation.  The Blackhawk Ultra sides are a gigantic pain in the ass to put back on.

I'm wondering this as well! I ordered my EVGA Titan X from Amazon over a week ago and I still haven't got any updates on when it will be available to ship.

Has anyone else ordered this card from Amazon?

I just ordered from Amazon yesterday. No word of course.

Anonymous-I have this 900d with tons of air going through it. I actually have 7 120mm intake fans. I think my temps should be lower if I can get a Titan X, but will just have to see later. Thanks for the input.

I'm using the 800d case, i have a intake bay with a 80mm fan at the front and then a 140mm angled down towards the Titan X and my temps so far are idle 25, so far top 68 degrees with a custom fan profile. My fan speed has not gone past 71%.

I pre-ordered 2 sc's from Amazon a few days ago, so I'll just wait out the month or so it might take to fulfill the order.   I also read that guys review about high heat (idle/load) and thought something was amiss with his thermal solution.

My 2 980's idle under 30c and sometimes in the low 20's, without the fans on.  Using a Lian Li D600 case for that one in the basement.  I have another system in my 2nd floor bedroom (single 980 sc) that can get a little warmer ambient temps.  That one never reaches 30c when idling.  Environment matters when it comes to keeping things cool.

That things is going to be 2" thick, lol. There will be no 3 or 4 way configuration with that on. Are you going for it?

I'm pretty sure with waterblocks effectively making the card 1-slot thick, that would give enough clearance to stack these things on top of each other for 3 or 4 way SLI.  The backplate waterblock is only 1/2" thick which I think is about the thickness of an expansion slot.

It's nowhere near as bad as the arctic accelero monstrosity that took up 5 slots :)

Here's with the waterblock and backplate installed and the backplate waterblock trimmed (more narrow) so it will clear the ram sticks.  The blue sharpie mark on the left edge of the block is about where the top of my ram heatspreaders are:

Overall thickness shot:

In case anyone is wondering how you trim aluminum....10" sliding miter saw with a non-ferrous metal cutting blade.

Just waiting for double sided thermal tape so I can stick the things together and then I have to rinse repeat for the second card.
