    NOICE!!!

So damn pleased i bought EVGA over ASUS again. The support i have received is brilliant, whilst i will have to return my motherboard due to a unique issue it has in no way changed my stance

If it was any other company i would still be waiting for a reply or be led down the garden path cause they haven't grasped the issue!!

    ISSUE

BIOS PROFILE DOES NOT SAVE Turbo Ratio Limit Program settings.

When saving OC settings to any BIOS profile the one thing that it will not recall is the Turbo Ratio Limit Program Enabled / Disabled setting or the Core Ratio Limit offset.

I had this same issue in BIOS 71.

Can someone else confirm this issue…

Is there any chance for EVGA to release Wake on LAN feature and password protection in BIOS? Yes, I'm talking about P55 LE and SLI editions, or is it hardware limitation now?

So.. I'll never understand why the turbo-ocing should be so nice..
    I only want 4,4 GHz with 133 MHz x 33..  on 4/8 cores
but, with A71 or A72 .. it wont work correct.

    http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1414095

So far .. so good, but when I start Linx .. Linx startet and never finished.. E-leet shows me 4,4 .. but the temps are @ idle - the cores are between 2-8 % .. not 100% like with this:

that means it CRASHED to high of a OC. P.S, Use program called (all CPU core) to see all your cores running ( a wWindows & Gadget)

Dozer all midnightblackgt is doing is using his turbo to have the multiplier go way high (above 24).

    Dozer,
can ckeck to see if when saving OC settings to any BIOS profile the one thing that it will not recall is the Turbo Ratio Limit Program Enabled / Disabled setting or the Core Ratio Limit offset.

That's what I thought too, but Linx is still running?
I'm using the gadget ALL CPU METER for the cores..  they show me 2-5% while Linx is running
Whit 4,27 no problem.. need more vcore?

I will check it tomorrow @thegcpu... in Germany is late now.. ;)
    Are you using "with vdroop"?

and yes more vcore but I found to get to 4.6 GHZ it takes 1.66V .
    I'm happy at 133 x 33 No vdroop and no K boost..

This one is on a intel basic board...
    http://hidestuff.de/OCS/IntelCorei7-875K/cpuz_valid.jpg

Linx is still counting the seconds.. so it's running.. it seems to.
But ok, I think so.. it's chrashed, but not the normal way.
K-Boost must be disabled, or you have to set the multi in e-leet, because that's working nice.. but not from the bios.. only with e-leet.
So.. is "No Vdroop" - "with vdroop" or "without vdroop" ???
    Thx

prior to A72 I could not get anything to work right multi-turbo-voltage settings all failed badly.... with A72 I boosted voltage to 1.3175 then turned off c1e and c-states enabled speedstep/turbo mode unlocked turbo multi and boosted the offset to 4-core = 4 3-core= 5 2-core=6 1-core=7  so now i get the advantages of speed with the voltage adjustment of speedstep finally!!!

    Thanks sleepee,
...  somebody mean "no vdroop" means - "no vdroop controll"..
Anyways.. with "without vdroop" my idle and load Vcore is always a little bit higher, than "with vdroop".
I will test something with "without vdroop".. and with the multi offsets.. ;)

VDroop is within Intel specs for the processor on load, voltage go down.
What EVGA say is: "With VDroop" = Following Intel specs, voltage go down.
When you put Without VDroop it's the same as Enabling Load Line Calibration on other motherboards. The motherboard will keep your VCore stable with what you've set it on BIOS.

    Hi Guys,
I have the EVGA P-55 FTW Bios 72 and the i7 875k processor along with 8GB of Gskill DDR3 2000 4X2GB. I am using a Danger Den pump and block for the cpu with a Thermaltake Bigwater SE reservoir and radiator. The system uses 1/4" tubing (Small but left over from a thermaltake Bigwater SE cooling kit) Could someone suggest settings for a moderate overclock? Setting per setting or photos of bios settings would be great if possible as I am fairly new to overclocking.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

You must have c-state on for turbo mode to work I would suggest (c1e-off cstate-on turbo-on speedstep-on) works awesome for my setup. C-state allows the cores to shut off so the turbo will take effect otherwise it will run at a standard multi

Can someone tell me if their having this issue?

When saving OC settings to any BIOS profile the one thing that it will not recall is the Turbo Ratio Limit Program Enabled / Disabled setting and  the Core Ratio Limit offset setting.

    Thanks

I am having a memory compatibility issue here with A72 on my E655. My previous BIOS v. was A39. I'm running my board with a i5 750 @ 4Ghz(20x200) and 2x2GB Team Xtreem LV 2000Mhz CL9. at 2000Mhz.Setting all the latencies manually exactly as on A39 gives me no boot on A72.
XMP doesn't seem to work. AUTO setting does work and I can boot into Windows but I am getting very high latencies (11-12-11-....). It should be 9-9-9-24-... @ 2000Mhz 1.65v as the Teams are rated to run like this by default and they've been running like this on A39.

    Any clues?
