I don't think EVGA is ever going to get around to it by the looks of things.

Still no announcement about Ivy support.

well i am now considering sellign the z68 i got from rma cause i was informed today that there was no eta and a new bios for ivy support was a work in progress, so i am considering dropping the evga board for one that has ivy support.  i mean seriously this is really not what i have come to expect from evga.

They are the same, both P67 and Z68 use the codenamed "Cougar Point" chipset that debuted with 32nm processors.

That said, the official support list consists of all the processors that EVGA tested with the their boards, mainly what EVGA expects customers are most likely to use.  Not that a lack of updating the list means they don't think people will use other processors, which is possible; but rather all companies tend to place priority on something that isn't functioning properly or set to debut soon, rather than improving support for something that already works.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

To be perfectly honest, i wouldnt trade my EVGA Z68 SLI board for a Z77 board, due to the fact that the i7 2nd gen 2600k is easy to overclock and has minimal heat issues... where as the ivy bridge i7's have greater ones. Now if you were going to upgrade to the the sandy bridge E (Intel Core i7-3930K) that would be a different story.
My only fear is the question of whether my z68 chipset is future.. in terms of the 700 series graphics cards and whether the speed of the cards will require the newest pci slots.

    But that's just my opinion!

well from what i have seen of 7 series boards in general i would rather have another 780i LOL.  actually a 3930k is what i was looking at but then the z77 gigabyte board has a board that is in my room mates pc has an ivy in it and is/was like 149.99 at frys electronics in arlington Tx.  only reason i have this z68 is because there were no 680i or 780i's available for rma when i rmaed my 680i.
