i have msi b450 tomahawk max and i had a ryzen 5 3600 with a nzxt 360mm cooler top mounted for exhaust plus three 120 front intake and one 140 rear exhaust. while gaming i would see cpu around 59c to 61c for a high. now i have updated bios and dropped a ryzen 5 5600x in and im seeing cpu temps around 70c to 72c for high. im assuming the 5600x runs hotter. im thinking of getting new motherboard because i have enough hardware to build another rig using the 3600. question is do the mobo vrms help with cpu temp and if so please give recomendations. im looking at going x570 top two right now are msi mag x570 tomahawk and asus tuf x570 plus.

    If you're going to get an X570 motherboard make sure you have a good size PC case with plenty of airflow. VRMs are made to withstand a good amount of heat, but the more airflow you have in your PC case the better it will be for all components including the VRMs.

    i have a nzxt 710i case would it be better to go with b550

    think i misunderstood vrms i thought they had alot to do with cpu temps but they do power and voltage.

    Supposedly the b550s have great vrm from drawing less power at the cost of npt bring fully pcie 4.0

    Not really, it shouldn't matter. Those temps are fine anyway
