I have z370 classifed k (my first evga MB) and I kinda like it so far. however the lack of fan control is a bummer and i'm wondering if it is me not figuring it out yet. as I see it, I can only set "smart" control for 3 fan headers. 2 for cpus and one for CHA (i assume this header in located at the bottom next to the aux fan header, please correct me if i'm wrong). Even if i use 4pin pwm fans, for all the other headers (sys, pwr, and aux), i can only set the fans at a certain speed. This is actually quite strange as all the other brands are offering way more options for fan control... Then, I am wondering if it is okay to use y fan splitter for CHA header for my 2*120 mm front fans (corsair sp120). Thank you!

My recommendation to you is to purchase a Corsair Commander Pro and use iCUE software to allow you to control fan speeds and RGB (if using Corsair RGB fans). I have a Corsair Commander Pro which is used for fan power and RGB control. I believe it works with 4 pin fans. I don't use non Corsair fans so don't know if it works on other brands. You can use a splitter so long as the amount of power can be handled by the supplied port. Limit the splitter to a two way only.

Oh, commander pro looks nice. I will definitely try when the thing is on sale. In the meantime, I will use a y-splitter for just two front fans if it is safe. I just wish evga MB had those smart functions for every header.

jejeo I, too, was surprised that evga does not have software support for regulating the fan. Before evga only used motherboards from asus and was very accustomed to AI Suite. On the z370 classifed k to I hung three fans on the cha-fan, 2 front and 1 rear and adjusted the speed in bios for the temperature of the processor. The rest of the fans put on 15-20%.

I use the Commander Pro (CoPo) for that very purpose. Problems occur if you want to use the internal USB hub ports on the CoPo when connected via an ASMedia USB header. This is a known issue and Corsair has been very tardy to implement a fix. Given that so many motherboards use ASMedia USB controllers (including the Classified k), I'm at a loss to this reluctance. Strangely, if you gang the CoPo via a NZXT internal hub, the CoPo hub ports are usable.

Ended up ordering three y splitters. Hopefully it works well. Will report after. Well, it will take a month for those splitters to come from China :) (Spend too much money for the new rig...)

If you use retail Noctua fans you'll get free Y splitters from their package.

I use that same silverstone. Easy install and works great. Like that it is sata powered so no worries about overloading fan headers.
