Yes! I have never went through so much in all my 35 years in building computers to find a particular part reasonably. And yes, I started young! Haha. ;-)

I have no card, so will buy 1 even if I need to upgrade in a few months. Can always use it for a family hand me down. Will try to keep it to around 800 if I can. 1k+ is crazy talk.

I will try to go with 64GB of ram so I can have several VMs and a large monitor. Good for beta testing software, etc.

I’m trying to decide between the 1080ti or waiting... the thing is even the new cards come out, there won’t be a ti for a few months after... not sure what to do tbh

There will always be something newer and better. My thought are to go ahead as long as I don’t feel massively taken advantage of so I can enjoy it now. I would do the same buying a car. I.e. wouldn’t typically wait for next years model
