gtx 1060 sc 6gb overclocks itself

Just wondering if this is normal. I was looking into bumping up my clock a lil from the boost clock of 18xx to say 20xx and i realized that this card is doing that by itself. No complaints with this card, it runs 4k nicely but is that normal?

    yes sc means super clocked pascals 3.0 gpu boost does it i have the 1060 ssc 6gb and it boost itself i dont overclock mine anymore than what it does but i run an aggressive fan curve and try to keep it as close to 50 degrees which is optimal temps and i do turn the voltages all the way up just to make shure it has the power it needs also.the card will throttle down once it reaches a certain temp if you dont mind the fans but enjoy

    Yes they do
     
    Push the Power & Temp Target sliders full right
     
    set a custom fan curve if you want: Temp in C +10 = Fan% is always a good start
     
    So Temp 50 C = 60% fan
