hey all
so I have an SC17 1070, and my power adapter has died,
iv read most current forum pages based around the topic, and haven't really been able to come to any conclusion as to where to turn for a replacement, so hoping to solve that here once and for all....
iv noticed EVGA have removed the power adapter from there store,....annoyingly!!

I have seen people saying they have used delta 330w power adapters with sc17 1080 with no probs,
and also others saying they have used dell/Alienware equivilant power rating, power adapters also with no problems,

but does anybody have any solid proof or experience with compatability of other power adapters used on there sc17 machines?,
and if so which ones should we be buying?, and could you provide links please?...

also would using a higher wattage output be beneficial to performance on the laptop? i.e..changing from the standard "19v,12.6a/240w power adapter" to a "19v,12.6a/330w power adapter"?

TIA...

Support@evga.com or create a ticket under Member -> My Products -> SC17 laptop -> create a ticket and ask for assistance.

Forums posts will be answered, but there is support staff that can help you far quicker than most forums users.

See if they can help you get the charger replaced.

As for third party parts and pieces, I am not sure about what will work and what may not.

Someone will come in and give advice on this. Hopefully evga will also be able to provide some advice once they receive your ticket.

    Here you go:
    https://forums.evga.com/w...-Adapter-m2752499.aspx

There is a Dell power brick which people have used without issue for an extended period of time. Part numbers and links can be found in that thread.

I suggest opening a support ticket / calling EVGA US then. I imagine they would work with you on international shipping for a PSU. The online store probably is NA restricted.
