I was just curious if the part number changes once the card has been shipped back, as right now it is the same as the card I sent in which was a 980 ti.

I have read on other threads about peoples not changing but then getting different cards, and then others where it does change and they see what they get prior to it arriving. I am also in the EU and I saw a thread of someone else in the EU and theirs didn't change either but received a different card. I also cannot submit a ticket as it says I need to register the serial on my replacement and unregister the other card, which I have done so. And now that I have done that I cannot check the RMA at all to see if does change.

I just want to check that this may be the case and that the part number doesn't change and I might just have to wait to see what I get.

Thanks.

Usually the part number out is updated before the card is sent, but sometimes there is an error that allows it to ship without the update.

I assume you meant S/N number and not part number ?

if the same card / part number  is available   then that don't change  , but the cards S/N will or should   . only way you get the same card you sent in is if evga tested it and found nothing wrong with it or found non warranted  issues of damage like end user abuse  and just declined the rma and sent your card back with a too bad so sad note   on why it was declined for a RMA .

like you said in the end  ''might just have to wait to see what I get.''      seems like all that should be correct and noted  for any remaining warrantee applied  or   new referb warrantee   from the old card you did send in  ..

Good luck.
Make sure you test EVREYTHING when you get the card back.
I got more than a few that had bad DP ports, werent even the same bios as it was supposed to be, didnt even work right out of the box (room smelled like burnt electronics for 2-3 days), and one that just kept crashing my computer no matter what nvidia driver I used.
I hope you get a good one.

Got the GPU back and one of the DPs didn't work so I am having to send it back. I emailed on the Saturday, response on Monday (understandable no one works weekends) and they said they will pay for shipping. However I had to wait for the RMA approval which took a day and then emailed to receive the paid label and then was told I need to contact once it has been apporved, which it had been. Finally received the label today however it was too late to send it today when I got it. This whole process is not great. I rely on my GPU a lot with work and I have been out of action for just over 2 weeks now and by the time I get one back again it will be 4 weeks! It's not been a great experience. This 980 ti was obviously sent in for RMA before hand and I hope it wasn't sent in originally for the non-working port
