I know of one guy who has quite a bankroll, but he was banned months ago.
Ironically enough, those who think they are rich are gonna be up for a rude awakening soon when the dollar is worth less than the paper it's printed on.

+1, I still didn't understand for what he was banned for, but to keep on topic I'm pretty much as poor as you can get (mostly due to my position of non-money manager of the house  but if I was I would seriously be homeless this computer thing is really an addiction)

My old boss has a Lambo, and he is not even close to being rich. The thing about money and having things is this: Unless your Bill Gates or some Saudi prince, there is always somebody who has more. Lets say you have a Citation or G5, well there is some Saudi prince with a custom built 747. You have a 150' yacht, well Paul Allen has a 414' yacht. So is a guy with 50 million poor compared to Bill Gates ? Paul Allen's yacht costs 10 or 15 million a year just to staff and maintain, the guy with 50 million probably can't afford that.

I'll have to say I agree with most of you guys. I do love the country we live in, but that's not to say things aren't bad right now how they are, and god knows how things will be in the near future... Nereus
I know of someone (not on these forums) who made over US$1B in personal income last year. NOT their business income, just personal income. How the hell they can live with themselves while people are living homeless on the streets is beyond me. There comes a point where that amount of money is more than one could possibly spend, and you could have a bonfire using $1m is cash and not even worry about it.. unfortunately the US is more and more pushing towards a super-rich elite class, while the middle class is being pushed further and further into poverty. It makes me sick.
I do not believe in communism or socialism, but the way things are now are just wrong. It's near impossible for a hard-working honest Joe to get anywhere these days, and if he or she can just keep their heads above water, that's almost a miracle in itself.

I really love what you've said here, and I'd have to say it's quite true. The majority of those who are "up there" seem to have forgotten where they came from (providing they weren't born rich) leaving everyone else down here out of mind, and probably out of sight. They've got it made and couldn't care less about anything else. It's a shame seeing what's happening nowadays that's causing the mid and lower classes to degrade more and more, though we can't really get into that without being political. All I have to say is boo to all those who have the ability to change things, but are more worried about a fat paycheck, big bonuses, and/or profit above everything else. P.S. One of the more interesting discussions I've read on here in awhile!

I define richness as your own desire and need for what you want, so long as you can meet that you enrich yourself. Would I like more money than I have at the moment? Yes. Do I have everything I want at the moment? Yes, so in short what you are satisfied with is what enriches you. I have a friend who owns about 20 lamborghinis, and around 2 garages a few sizes bigger then the house I live in, back in Europe, his heart broken and every woman he met has betrayed his heart going for the money he has. He would trade his riches in a heartbeat for a loving wife in the place of the one night stands he has had. There's things in life that make you feel rich and fulfilled, feeling your child's heartbeat, self-sacrifice and so on. Heck, cars dont bring happiness just moments worth of fun, same with computers.

If I were rich, I wouldn't need to worry about whether or not I said I was on here, lol, cuz my house would be an epic fortress. That being said, I'd likely help some people out here on this forum who need the money, and for those who I'd believe to be snotty little brats that get their parents to spend tons of cash on them to have whatever they desire, I'd just stick my tongue out and go , cuz I can't stand people like that. Anyway, I'm probably 1 of the absolute poorest people on this forum. My fiance works part-time (lately been full time, but going back to PT soon) and gets $7.50/hr at her job, we rent a home, and I've been unemployed for over 2 years now cuz nobody even so much as bothers to check my references in job apps or resume submissions. I've literally tried to get a job thousands of times, but to no avail. Last year I managed to score a very-PT seasonal job, which helped a tiny bit, but not much at all. It actually kinda made things worse in a way. Now I'm kinda stuck with trying to find work, but at the same time I'm in a dilemma cuz we have a 7-yr-old and while she's working I take care of him, so technically I'm a stay-at-home dad right now. We wouldn't be able to get a sitter right away if i do get a job either.
Just as any other form of art, modding is a passion, not just a hobby. We fawn over it, we love it, we hold it near and dear to our hearts, we are passionate about it. We are modders, and we are artists. Also, if you like any of the advice I give, please recommend I get a BR, thanks!

You and me both bro, we're making due, but it's very hard. Thankfully my fiance's very strong-willed and intelligent. We're a perfect match for this stuff, lol. And I'm still trying to figure out ways for us to try to make more money, but it's hard. Currently we're trying to get things out of storage to throw into a yard sale, both to just get rid of it and to make some money. Right now we're paying $69/mo for a 10x20 unit, but as I've mentioned in another thread, we're dealing with the storage facility owner cuz we have mildew damage thanks to them not ensuring the quality of their units. Ours is the only one that had a screwed up roof, and now we're in the middle of dealing with that too. Going there again in a few days to work on moving to another unit, some more. Only + so far is that we don't have to pay storage rent for the time being cuz of this issue.

Ok people If you think about it, you are all rich , 20 years ago, you couldn't''t buy this kind of PC power with all of Bill Gates Cash. and now your sitting in front of a desk with 4 or 6 cores, Mega bites of memory and Gigabytes of storage. What would even a 8800GT or a 260 have cost, when everyone was monochrome. What would IBM have paid to have what you have, back when they had single core 8080A processors, NO hard drive cassette loading programs, and 640K memory.  How much would NASA have given to have one of these when they launched apollo 1.
