so i have a psu that just died on me while gaming, i looked at the limited warranty and what it doesn't cover and also saw the horror stories of others who were rejected for minor scratches on the psu.

my psu does have a minor "scratch" on the edge, just paint that came off, im assuming when sliding it into my case. will i be denied replacement?

Typically cosmetic damage like a scratch from sliding it in is to be expected as normal use. It's when the PSU looks beat up and bent that its likely to be denied. I wouldn't worry about the paint coming off that is very common when installing a PSU.

It shouldn't be a problem, but you never know when EVGA makes a strange decision.

That level of damage looks very common for installing a PSU in my experience. It's interesting that cases seem to do that level of damage even for good name brands especially on setups that don't really hide the PSU.
