The tentative day of announcement for NVIDIA's next-gen RTX 4000 series is fast approaching, with an expected announcement from NVIDIA through its GeForce Beyond broadcast, scheduled for September 20th at GTC. And with time running out until we see what NVIDIA has laid in store for us, photographs of ZOTAC'z iteration of the RTX 4090 are already leaking about - specifically in Baidu.

The photographs showcase a production run from ZOTAC's RTX 4090 cards, featuring a complete cooling and shroud redesign for NVIDIA's next-generation. Gone are the typical straight, boxy lines of any high-tier GPU; ZOTAC seems to be taking a more curvaceous approach to design this time, with more organic lines enveloping a more mundane heatsink. The card features ZOTAC's IceStorm 3.0 cooling solution, which houses a triple-fan, triple-slot design that extends more than a third of its area over the PCB itself. There's still no confirmation on board power and the GPU powering these cards themselves, but we have some very (very) educated guesses.

The RTX 4090 leaks just keep on coming.

    Price (wild guess) $1,999

    EDIT:
Just found this articles (Tweak Town site)

"GIGABYTE's new GeForce RTX 4090 listed in Australia for under $3000
GIGABYTE's new custom GeForce RTX 4090 GAMING OC gets listed Down Under, priced at $4270 AUD in Australia (converts to around $2900 or so)"

    EDIT2:

"NVIDIA is gearing up to tease what should be the next-gen Ada Lovelace GPU architecture and new GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards at its Project Beyond event later this month... and now we have an updated release schedule.
We are looking at an early/mid-October release for the flagship NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card, while the GeForce RTX 4080 and the GeForce RTX 4070 (or RTX 4070 Ti) are launching in early/mid-November, according to leaker Moore's Law is Dead.
The last we heard was from old rumors from months ago, where NVIDIA was meant to launch the GeForce RTX 4090 by now... previous rumors had RTX 4090 launching in August and the RTX 4080 + RTX 4070 in September. Well, spoiler alert... it's now September and there are no cards, but we do have the "Project Beyond" event and should expect the RTX 4090 in October, and RTX 4080 + RTX 4070 in November."

It honestly looks like they are going to pretty much use the nvidia founders PCB and just modify it instead of doing any real customization PCB wise like the other vendors. The real custom job is the cooler.

I am just surprised that techpowerup said “zotac 4090 pictured” instead of “packaging for zotac 4090 pictured”

Ah, it seems that that picture was just left out of this post for some reason. Here, I’ll add it in:

    No NVLink connector :(

I guess they will drop sli forever on consumer/gaming cards. Only professional cards will have those.

That won’t be a great loss to consumers and gamers. Most games didn’t support SLI for 3090 and 3090ti, and quite a few benchmarks weren’t encoded to utilize multiple GPU’s after NVidia removed discreet SLI profiles.

Tiny cooler? It is nearly twice the length of the PCB, and looks to be 2.5 slots thick at least.

you can see the bracket has 3 tabs, so its right at 3 slots width. looks like it could be at least 340mm long and maybe 145mm high? the fans looks big , maybe 100mm?
the strix 3080ti is 318mm x 140mm and 2.9 slots wide with a 2 slot bracket and with 95mm fans. so yeah the cards are already too big, but this 4090 dont seem to be a huge jump in size vs the supposed huge increase in power use.
