I was planning on spending my vacation next week OC'ing with my new EVGA motherboard. This is a big disappointment. I think I will have to head over to Micro Center and pick up an Asus Z87 board.

Just a quick PSA guys - be careful ordering the Stinger from EVGA's web store if you (A) need it promptly or (B) need any form of phone-based and courteous customer service. I was on the phone with them 3 times yesterday and each person promised my Stinger would ship yesterday, the 29th. (I placed the order on the 28th.) It didn't ship. So I called 15 minutes ago to ask them to add the Saturday delivery feature to my UPS Next Day Air Saver shipping. When I explained to him that there is no option on the website to add Saturday delivery, he said I could cancel my order and try again. I told him ok fine, cancel my order since you guys can't make good on your promise to ship same day if the order is placed before 2pm. His response, a cold "OK" *click*. In case anyone is keeping score, it was order ID 100382. TooLong;Didn'tRead: Order the Stinger if you don't care whether it gets to you in 3 days or 2 weeks. Usually I'd be in that camp, but I actually needed to build a server with it this weekend for a customer and I'm in a rough spot now. Amazing how poor the sales support is when I've had such amazing warranty service!

Chris, it was a pleasure talking to you on the phone. Thank you for taking ownership of this issue and resolving it. I understand there was an error in the warehouse and I really appreciate that you were willing to go the extra mile to fix the mistake to the best of EVGA's ability. The squeaky wheel may get the grease, but it is no fun being the squeaky wheel . I'll post board impressions in this forum once I get it. I'll be putting it into a mini ITX Lian Li tower with an i5 4670k. Should be a beautiful (if cramped) setup .

The EVGA name means it wont crap out after the first 2 years(to me anyway) EVGA and Cosair are the only 2 companies that haven't given me a **** product, which is nice because other than the Intel processor the 2 companies make everything else.

If you say so. For something that's releasing so late though I'd expect a lot more. I mean it has 4 PCIE x16 lanes but no PLX chip, so at best it can run 8x, 4x, 4x, 1x. It only has 6 power phases and last gen Realtek ALC889 audio. And it's going to be a $220 board? There are several boards available right now with better features for less $... The Classified on the other hand looks to actually be worth the wait.

I sure hope the Classified shows up soon so I will have a choice between that and the MVIF/MVIE. I like EVGA and would like to give their motherboards a chance but won't wait a long time to get one. Any word on arrival?

I long time ago decide to shop only exactly as I wish, lack of something will never force me again to suffer as for 580 Classified. Here people from Italy have SR-2, X79 Classified and X79 FTW boards. Only you need maybe to wait little more. Some solution always persist. No more I must buy ASUS because no others.

I spoke with someone at EVGA recently who told me the Z87 FTW mobo's were due in "any day now" but from what I'm seeing in these forums, they won't be available until some time in October. Which piece of information am I supposed to believe? I've already gotten rid of my old computer to make room for the new one I'm getting through Origin but can't be built until Origin receives the Z87 FTW motherboard. I only got rid of my old computer because I was told I should be getting the new computer within 2-3 weeks. I know that I should be patient considering I won the computer I'm talking about but I've been given different information at every turn by various people at EVGA. What is the real story, please? Is the Z87 FTW going to be available before October? If not, why can't a substitute be made of an equally capable motherboard? I realize that a different mobo might mean other parts would no longer be compatible but I also feel like I shouldn't have to wait until the end of 2013 or beyond to get this machine when EVGA's policy is to ship prizes within 15 days. Had I not been in touch with someone at EVGA, I wouldn't even know that there was a delay. EVGA didn't volunteer information on their own. I had to contact them to find out that there was a hold up with my prize. I'm sorry if I'm coming across as annoyed but I am annoyed. I received a seemingly random (unsolicited) email from Origin that said the delay for my build is due to the EVGA Z87 FTW mobo being unavailable and that once they receive that, there will be another 2-3 weeks of testing and tuning before they ship it back to EVGA just for them to ship it back across the country to me. The point of this whole rant is: I would like some honest, real information on when I can expect to see the computer I won from EVGA. I'm sure I sound like a ungrateful dick right now but that's not it at all. Once I've been given misinformation enough times, I get sick of it. Just like any other human being out there.

Just like any other human being out there.
you could contact them and ask for the value payout due to the issue of the waiting period on a product that is delayed and they may give you the value of that prize so you could buy the parts

I would just buy a Maximus VI Formula from ASUS over the FTW. It is more expensive, but tit has great integrated sound and it looks really goo. If you were gonna go with EVGA, I would say the Classified or Stinger but IMO the FTW is outclassed by the Formula.
