Regarding RAM speed and reliability, the 2nd half of this article remains very much relevant to our discussions here. The funny thing is, in an article benchmarking the new Ryzen CPUS in Photoshop, they do a very mild overclock of the RAM!

What's the confusion about this, are you guys just naive?  

People will pay whatever to have whatever based on the perceived value we assign, that's all this is about: Opportunities to sell stuff to you.  Intel (or any corporation, AMD and nVidia included) doesn't give a hooping funt for your reasons to buy stuff or what you do with it, all they care is you will pay for it.  It's capitalism, guys.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

I literally laughed out loud when reading buy overclocking insurance and buy a overclocking license. Companies will do anything to milk people out of more money. I remember a few years back when it I wanted a protection plan for a CD I purchased...........

If you are talking about this "" I have change out 3 X Processors so it was more than Worth it when a Processor cost over $1200.00


3 processors!! That seems worth it since they only cost $20 to protect it. Which CPU's?
