Hi all. I'm using the X99 Micro with an i7-5820k and cooling it with a Corsair H110.

I replaced the stock fans on the radiator with Corsair SP140's for better static flow performance and appearance. I plugged the fans into the CPU_FAN1 and CPU_FAN2 headers on the board. Since the fans are not PWM controllable, they are running at full speed. They do generate some noise at max and I'd like them to taper down a bit unless it is needed. I couldn't figure out if this board supports controlling them via voltage, or if so, how it can be done. Any advice?

You should be able to control the fans as all your onboard fan headers are controlled via the BIOS.

To simplify things, non-PWM fans or 3-pin fans are all analog or also known as voltage controlled.  PWM fans are not voltage controlled as they have a 4th pin that operates with a PWM signal.

    Hope this helps.

It did not seem to respond when I tried adjusting it. I even set it to OFF, and restarted but the fans were still happily spinning away at top speed. Maybe I did something wrong?

There is a "default speed" value in each smart-controllable fan header in bios, try lower that down to zero , you should see the fan stop spinning after reboot. If that works, tweaks again that default value against others
