Pretty impressive at this voltage. What is your uncore frequency?

Uncore 3560(24X) with only +125 vtt. Microcenter has some good ones I guess.Memory running @2072.Could never get that on my 980.

My 980 is pretty close but I have been keeping my uncore at 2x the memory speed. I feel like the Uncore is what is limiting but I am also wary about raising my VTT further. I am already at 1.45V for 4000MHz Uncore/ 2000MHz memory.

Nice over clock and chip sgtharry, just need you to add your stability results to your post so I can copy and paste it into the list. Forum Name <---- THIS IS IMPORTANT. DO NOT FORGET THIS. Core i7 (whichever you have) Batch #: (not required, but would be nice to include) CPU clocked at: Voltage: Idle temps: (please provide this in celsius) Load temps: (please provide this in celsius) GFlop peak: (used for any clock speed ties, higher gflops wins) Thanks.

First run so far. I was doing some reading in this thread and noticed that the 4189.5 isn't good enough. So I pushed it to 4.220. I'm working on a LinX pass now. Here is what I've got so far. BTW ignore my temps as I'm running a H70 so it what I'll be using for now.

Harry you did get my attention! That is nice to see with your overclocking at a relatively docile 1.41xxV VCore, something I thought I would never seen with your efforts. Way to go! One of these days I'll have an afternoon/evening/sometime to qualify my 3rd member to the Club, albeit another 920 CPU with special tendencies of low voltage and VTT heritage, one I've been running doing FAHome for 2+ years and counting at 4210Mhz... but I know it's good for a whole lot more ON AIR only. I am particularly proud of v1ral's overclock up to 4.4Ghz, or so he told me (I haven't found it yet), which I had a little to do with, so congrats to him also. Keep on 'clockin' rexrzer77

Thanks bro!!!:P The experience was great getting up to 4.2 and beyond*I haven't tried to get higher but I will eventually. Thanks everyone for you help I appreciate it a bunch!!!! Well, well, everyone's in the thankin' mood! Look nice people, I may not be young and spiffy, sort of the opposite really when you look at who I am, but when I saw v1ral's components in his thread, waaaay back when a couple months ago, I just about fell over! I mean it's a long day in China to have so much coincidence happening, as he had the exact Batch# CPU that I have been using in my PC No.1 for some 2 years and counting, prior to equipping the Classified with a new 970 CPU that is, plus I had the same RAM he did too...that just freaked me out! I figured I could help him out no sweat, you dig? That Batch#3849B203 CPU he's got is a duplicate to mine apparently, as can sometimes happen, in that it performs with some alacrity and has low-voltage written all over it, and when things didn't go well with his rig I had to do a little head scratchin' long distance, I mean he's in Guam, USA and I'm in Southern California, right? So 2+2=4 his RAM was bad, and I guessed as much and told him to scratch it until later's, and also came up with this Corsair 1866 RAM as being a good thing for his build also...so lucky me he took my suggestions and ran with them, and the rest is history as they say. That's the whole story of how I helped v1ral out, and I don't help people a lot anymore because I just don't have the time to do it, as it does require a lot of effort if you are doing it right for them, and truly honestly getting them somewhere and not showboatin' or worse...so lucky him, and lucky me because I found a new online friend in him also, which I value a lot even though I can be a beeetch to work with at times, so my bad. As for Mr. Halloweenweed, you are one of the few with a 920 running 12GB of RAM (of any type) successfully, and I have a lot of respect for that as it's a special science to do overclocking successfully with 12GB or more RAM in the house, so way to go yourself! Now we've had our differences of opinion in a couple threads over this and that, but the bottom line is you work hard here and help a ton of people out, and that also is a special thing for me to understand, and I do. That's about it for my visiting here today, and I do think that KRAM's thread has turned out to be a boon for the EVGA Forums and more power to him and thanks for doing this deed, which requires special perseverance and work every day literally, a big responsibility, and then some. I knew it would be a Home Run here, when he proposed it, but it's gotten HUGE and he's to be commended by everyone for his efforts in making this the talk of the 'Net in terms of legitimate overclocking for a cause...and our cause is a good one, it's the EVGA cause and we aim to please! I am lucky in many ways in this world, you know that? The No.1 way I am lucky with computer equipment is the EVGA thing, the connection, and how it's been a good thing for me to be running their parts over the years. I think the world of Joe Darwin's whole group, Mike Fierheller in RMA Dept and his staff, who have handled some delicate things for me and my friends who also run EVGA stuff, and the whole EVGA organization is tops in my book. The only products which are even close to EVGA things and parts and pieces are Asus parts and pieces, and between the two of those companies for PC stuff I am handled 100%...Asus for my notebooks, and EVGA for my desktops, and everyone wins hands down. When you all have a second or two, don't be afraid to drop the EVGA staff here an email or a mention in your thoughts and posts here once in a while, because they are after all why and how we do this stuff, you all dig? Have a great evening and week--you all have my best thoughts and wishes here at EVGA Forums. rexrzer77

v1ral Great overclock SGTHarry Good stuff man... Anyways... Since Rex came into the building.. I would like to thank him for the help he's given me.. and pointing out that something was wrong with some components in my rig.*which was my ram.. which need a ton load of Vdimm volts and wear and tear! I've done switched my RAM kit to some Corsair Dominator GTs 1866 and it gave me lots of head room, good recomendation Rex. For my 4.4x attempt I ask the ever so wise Rex for some advice as I've hit some walls and such and to my surprise he got me there after a few passes. Took about 1~2 hours then the final 20 pass linx run for the club and low and behold it made it. So yeah Rex.. Thanks bro!!!:P The experience was great getting up to 4.2 and beyond*I haven't tried to get higher but I will eventually. Thanks everyone for you help I appreciate it a bunch!!!! Yea and I can see that that new cpu block helped a shlt load.....before at 1.3vcore your temps were already hitting 80c...Good job by the way!! Unfortunately my cpu has already degraded...folding at 4.5ghz wasnt a good idea even though my temps always stayed below 85c...now my 4.2ghz bio profile needs more vcore :( ....

Uploaded with ImageShack.us I just got the 970 put in last night. This is my first attempt at over clocking it. I cant wait to test out the real performance of this chip once my H70 comes back from RMA. 4.2ghz on the stock cooler isnt to bad
