Does anyone know if EVGA will run the Step-up program to include going from the X299 DARK to the Z390 DARK?

Considering buying a X299 DARK (only $269 on ebay right now from the EVGA Store) and Stepping-up to the Z390 DARK when it comes out. There is a 90 day window, so if I pull the trigger too soon I'll be out of the time constraint or if I wait all the bargain priced x299's on ebay will dry up. (LOL, probably 20 minutes after I post this...) On the other hand, EVGA might not run the Step-up program (  ). I missed the 1080 to 2080ti window by not registering soon enough. I'm sure some of you might have been through the Step-up program before so please feel free to comment on if it is even worth it.

Not being of a different Chipset I would say no.
Also the X299 Dark is $500 I do not think that the Z390 is going to cost more than $360 and you will would not get a refund of the Difference.
MB to MB the X299 Dark Wins in all areas Hands Down.

You may be right about it not qualifying for the Step-up program. On the Step-up page under terms and conditions for a motherboard it says that it must be the same socket. The X299 DARK and the to-be-released Z390 DARK lists different sockets. It also states no refunds if the product you are stepping up to cost less. Darn!
