Hey James, thanks for your reply. If it can help your team to replicate the issues, here's my specs: Re-BAR is enabled in BIOS (I add this as I remember that USB had issues with PCIe 4 and AMD's chipset). Since I downgraded the firmware to 1.28 I have to say that I haven't encountered any disconnections. I can provide you more information about the mouse if needed (S/N, date purchased if the product has been revised). Hope this helps.

sesquivel Experiencing same issue. Mouse was under warranty so I was able to RMA it. Received a replacement (a refurbished mouse, instead of a new one ), same issue still happening. Mouse disconnects at random times. I don't have this issue with any other devices connected to my pc, so I don't think the issue is with my computer/usb ports.
GREAT! Lets pay postage to send it in for RMA only to be sent another faulty mouse, not only that but a refurbished one. Been there, done that, lost money .... no thanks.

elvinmagical I was able to downgrade my mouse firmware with the following steps:
- Download EVGA Unleash RGB software version 1.0.13.0:
- Extract the EXE file to a new folder using 7-Zip
- Open Library\X15RGBLibrary.dll with a binary-safe text editor (Notepad++)
- Search for the string "X15_v1.28.bin", which is the last good firmware file as of now (the file itself can be found in Firmware folder)
- Look for the number after file name ("284"), it's the firmware's internal version and compared with the one from connected mouse
- Modify it to become 291 (the latest/buggy firmware v1.34 has internal version of 290, according to Library\X15RGBLibrary.dll found in driver version 1.0.15.0)
- Quit any running EVGA driver, run extracted UnleashRGB.exe, it will attempt a firmware "update" (downgrade to v1.28) because mouse-reported firmware version is 290, lower than 291
- After finishing the update, the driver will attempt to update again (this time it's 284 < 291), cancel it
- Voila! Your X15 mouse firmware is now downgraded to v1.28.
The 1.0.13.0 driver can then be installed normally. Don't forget to disable auto-update this time. (EVGA, please don't patch it in a future release. We need this trick to prevent other undesired firmware updates done accidentally.)
Let me give this a try and see how it goes. I was able to roll back to v1.28. Took me a few tries but I got it. Now time to test.

So far, no issues after role back of firmware driver(Knock on wood) to v1.28. Prior before the firmware role back this morning I tested the X15 with the current v1.34. The X15 mouse had dc'ed on me several times. About 15 times. Since firmware role back to v1.28. The X15 mouse has been solid. Note: They attached image. Is what EVGA RGB looks like after the application crashes.

I too am having random disconnects with my X15 mouse. I've tried multiple different USB ports, and also a separate USB hub to no avail. The firmware is 1.35. I have an ASUS Z690E Gaming Wifi mother board and have updated all the drivers as well as the BIOS in order to fix it, but nada.... I've tried looking in the event logs, but see nothing in there whenever the mouse disconnects. I have just received a second X15 mouse that I can test to see if there's something wrong with my original mouse or not.

I just looked up the UnleashRGB 1.0.16 and the firmware is indeed updated from 1.34 to 1.35 for the firmware. Is anyone else able to confirm issues as Aquatorch has mentioned (as well as iDrizzt in a separate topic)?

Hopefully this continues. I have been using my X20 but have considered going back to an X17 since it has the faster polling rate and I find myself not really using the Wireless that much.

I guess my mouse is junk. Before the update, the mouse would dc and rc. Now the mouse just DC's and I have to unplug the mouse and plug it back in to get the mouse to rc again. So annoying when your in a fight.

Well I can say for sure that I went ahead and took a leap of faith... First, it seems the profile information did get erased (sad), but given I didn't change too much yet outside of Profile 1 and 2, its fine for now and it updated just fine. Second, I have not experienced a single disconnect after updating and has been over 24 hours now.
Will continue to monitor throughout the week, but I think this is it for you all!

I've now tried both a brand new Z20 and a brand new X15 on two different computers are they're both very hosed up. It doesn't happen all that often, but when it does, I'm pretty much unable to do anything shy of rebooting. One of my machines are running Windows 11 and one is on Windows 10. The X15 firmware is: v1.42 and the X20 firmware is: v1.34. Also the EVGA software version is: v1.0.17. It's very difficult to duplicate the errors as they seem to happen rarely, but when it does it appears to only happen if I have both the Elder Scrolls Online open as well as a Youtube video via Brave browser. I'm still trying to test this to confirm if it only happens when both of those are open, but as I said below, it's very difficult since it's random only. As far as resolving it. When the mouse disconnects, I can unplut it, wait 5 seconds, plug it back in anywhere from 1-5 times and it seems to resolve the issues. For the keyboard though, there doesn't appear to be any solution other than a full on reboot. Closing the EVGA software and reopening it does nothing. When the keyboard messes up, some functions and keys work fine, such as CTRL+ESC, tab, Win+E, and some others. However, others just stop working completely such as all alpha numberic keys. It's basically acting like my CTRL key is getting stuck, except on a software level, not a hardware level as the keys are physically fine (and brand new) on both keyboards.
This is extremely annoying and I'm sick of dealing with it at this point.

I can confirm with 100% certainty that it has happened without the game running or having Youtube up. This has happened on both my keyboards and on both my computers now.

Maybe it's an issue with the system drivers and the USB Windows settings ( the ones you can't see)? Mine has definitely fallen to the disconnect issues. Multiple times in an hour, now.

I am also having the same issue. I wanted to go the RMA route. However, the X15 was my only mouse so I opted for the advanced replacement. They wanted $166 hold on my card which seems insane. I can buy the mouse new for 40 bucks on Amazon so I declined against it. I will try the update posted here that is supposed to fix the disconnect issue. I have typically had no issues with any EVGA product but I have to say the X15 so far is not impressive. I ended up getting a cheap $20 RGB mouse from Gamestop that has been far more reliable. I will see how the update posted here works and report back. Really dissappointed on this one hopefully the update will turn it around.

I get it. The X15 sold me when I had comparisons to the Logitech G600. I didn't have disconnect issues, but I also didn't update to that version that had the issues people were experiencing. Some claims for disconnection included AMD systems with that bug in the BIOS, but again, I never experienced it, probably because at the time, I didn't have PCIe GEN 4 stuff to initiate the issue (a common denominator). Now that I do twice over, I have yet to experience anything of the sort. Having the X15 for a short time and having an issue with it was surprising and semi disappointing, but, like the Z20 Keyboard, there was a few small software issues I had that got corrected with firmware and software updates and I have yet to be disappointed since so the X15 is just a matter of patience in the same way. Also, $166? Sounds insane! I went with regular RMA just for the scrolling issue, though I was surprised I got it back at a reasonable time, though I had my G600 to fall back on (even if the scroll button was horrible). Getting back the X15 has been wonderful with everything working! Hopefully, your experience becomes better.

Ya 166, was insane. That is the most expensive advanced replacement hold I have ever seen. I just updated to the latest version of RGB unleashed. Its obviously nothing I can say if it has resolved the issue or not but will see.

give it time. mine is still DCing after having the newest stuff installed for about a week. kind of a bummer i really like this mouse but this random issue is enough to replace it. I think the "AMD bios bug" is BS too since i've never had any problems with my other mice doing this on the same system

You know, I'm wondering something else. I still haven't experienced the DC thing, but the new update recently mentions about the syncing the polling rate. I believe it was mentioned in one of the threads that it was using a higher polling rate no matter the setting. I wonder if the disconnect issues is tied to that?

Hi guys, I bought my X15 a few months ago, I bought it to improve my gameplay in World of Warcraft, I only play that, after the disconnection problem, now comes the scroll problem, it is not precise at all, it is even annoying to want to use the scroll, and since a few days ago the 12 key stopped working that's what has me the most upset because how can this happen after only a few months of use and I don't even use the 12 key much I don't understand how it can stop working just like that, I'm very unhappy with this mouse to be from a brand like EVGA it has many problems, before this mouse I had a microsoft that lasted almost 10 and it still works I will surely save it when I buy the x15 thinking that it would make an improvement but in reality it was the opposite , the problem of the random disconnection did not seem so serious to me because I assumed that with a software update they could solve it, but the problem with the scroll and the 12 key really bothers me a lot rque is already a hardware problem. Just to clarify, I'm a casual gamer, my work doesn't leave me much time to play, so I don't use my PC too much, only a couple of hours a day, if I played all day I would understand, but it's not my case, and I'm already proble in other pcs and nothing, the 12 key does not work, this discourages me from buying something else that has the EVGA brand.

I played fornite for 9 hours with no dc. I did the command prompt: sfc /scannow Coupled with and unintsall of Unleash RGB and a reinstall back to 1.0.17.0. That download was specific for the DCs. I will be playing Fortnite all day again today. Will try and update if I get the DC

I'm still getting constant disconnects on my second X15. Now the scroll wheel spazzes out as well. I can't confidently play any competitive game because there's a good chance it's going to disconnect right in the middle of a game and the scroll wheel can't be trusted either. This mouse is a joke. No amount of firmware updates is going to fix poor qaulity faulty wiring. On both of the X15's that I have, if you wiggle the cable where it comes out of the mouse itself, that's what causes the disconnect.

For a while my mouse was fine with no DC, but with the recent update v1.0.20 and Firmware v1.43 the DCing has started again and is quickly getting worse. Hoping for a permanent fix soon.

I've forwarded this issue about the disconnecting X15 with the newest firmware to our Product Management team. Hopefully this will get resolved with the next firmware update, as it seems to be tethered to updating your mouse with Unleash.
