UriGellar Put simply you have fallen into a trap that many others fall into in their early outings into PC building (I did it, most others here probably did too) and that is cheaping out on the case... until you really get into building your first thoughts are "well..a case, it's just a box isnt it? how different can they be? as long as it looks nice..."

Honestly, I didn't really thinkg I was going cheap with the case - there are certainly much cheaper on Newegg than the Antec 300, but...

The real issue is that I just didn't really think of cable management as a 'thing'.  Prior to this system, I'd had a string of Shuttle XPCs...this is the first full-tower I've had in...ohhh...must be 7 or 8 years or so.  The idea that cable management would be much more complex with some cases than others is...new to me.  LOL.

It also didn't really help that the system grew somewhat organically.  I'd started, as I'm sure many do, with just 2 hard drives.  I've since added 3 more.  And the X-Fi.  And changed the cooling around.  etc.

So...that didn't really help, either.

look much better but i think you need to get a pack of zip ties up in there also at local hardware stores you can find these little square bases that have sticky bases and have slots for zip ties which are really helpful. If you have no idea what I am talking about I can take a picture of mine

This is what I have done in a build I have (antec 300)

The cable management is still not that great, but I did not spend much time on it as it is just a crunching rig.

But painting the case helps cables blend in, and sleaving the power supply also adds a nice touch.

I have the same case as the OP the Antec 300 for both my systems, and it looks about the same on mine as his screenshots too lol

I'm not a overclocker though so I don't worry much about the airflow.

Going cheap on a case isnt all that bad as long as you buy a modular power supply. My case has pretty good wire management but it would be downright amazing if I had a modular PSU. Seriously have you seen how many cables a Corsair TX750 has??!!
