Is this normal I waited about 1 hour installing on SSD?

    Are you installing using Media Creation tool...or did you create a bootable flash drive?  DVD?  At 8% you can most likely cancel...reboot.  Once done, you will see a folder on your C drive $Windows.bt  Delete it if you can (I usually boot into a bootable Windows flash drive.  When you get to the screen that says country, etc...hit shift& F10 and it brings up a command prompt.  Determine the letter for your OS.  Mine was F.  So I typed  RD /S /Q F:\$Windows.BT and it deletes the folder.  Once done, I reboot and run the install again.
     
    I think the MS server is at full load and sometimes the download  isn't all there.

    had it happen on one rig but the other three went fine a few days later, might have been a bad file they fixed or the servers were overloaded.

    Rule of thumb: Don't select to install updates prior performing the upgrade. It takes an awfully long time.

    Relating to your issue: I always perform a regular clean up before the upgrade on customer's PC's. This includes Junkware Removal Tool (JRT), AdwCleaner, Malwarebytes and antivirus scan. Next, I do a Disk Cleanup (including system files) and CCleaner. If it's an SSD, I'd check for firmware updates and health. And, check for BIOS / UEFI updates. After doing these few scans and checks, it almost always completes.
