Just did a clean install of this build today. Impressed to see only two DistributedCom errors produced after updating windows fully/clearing all event viewer errors/rebooting pc.

The two DistributedCom errors that were popping up after every reboot were easy to fix too.

Doesn't DistributedCom work as a communication in a network to other computers in the network? Also to communicate to a server, and the internet with log ins?

Yep, dcom's enable software components such as ActiveX components to communicate directly with each other across networks.

The strange things I reported in this thread are still happening on this build version.

I guess this build didn't do much to improve things then.

Depending upon the DCOM error there are several solutions available to fix this.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

I have about 12 of them but this last Windows Update added another one that I have not been able to clear out.
It is the same error on all my Windows 10 Anv Rigs.

    Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.693)

As for fixing the distributedcom errors I had to take ownership/add permission to the appid keys that were being shown inside the distributedcom errors via the system registry. After taking ownership/adding permission to the appid keys via system registry I used dcomcnfg to set custom launch & activation permissions for the appid's that I took ownership/added permission to inside the system registry.

Inside dcomcnfg I added NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM group to the launch & activation permissions of each appid I took ownership of, and allowed the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM group I added to allow local launch and local activation of the appid.

    No more errors afterwards.

Sajin's efforts worked for him but a screenshot of the error would be helpful.

Systemsettings.exe, Microsoft.Photos.exe, & WinStore.Mobile.exe are no longer starting themselves up in the background after idling for 5 minutes. No, I didn't remove the permissions on those .exe's to keep them from loading.
