Been wondering and am waiting out atm. Just needing to know if EVGA are in the works for one?
 

Hopefully Jacob doesn't mind me sharing, but I did email and ask him about that - his response on 19 Sept. was "Right now it is possible but still under evaluation. Unfortunately we will not have anything for the launch."

Digging this thread up from google.

1. there is no reason to adopt am4. they were already late in the first place with x570.... which I'm sure is hampering their sales. doing a b550 board would literally be a waste for evga.

2. this idea that am5 isn't selling is bull. not only did cpu sales sell out but so did motherboard. i was so late that i was forced to buy an x670e gene board from asus. and snagged a 7700x to go with it. am5 is absolutely selling. anyone claiming otherwise hasn't been paying attention to sales. SURE, some sales are scammers/scalpers who buy products and resell for higher prices. if there was no demand, they wouldn't have went for scalping in the first place. am5 is absolutely selling. the new 7950x3d and 7900x3d have both sold out as well. but naw, no one wants am5, they didn't sell out initial launch requiring restocking because ONE microcenter store had stock.... one store isn't indicative to the entire world of sales. hell, as a mechanic, we have a store in our district that CONSISTENTLY under-performs in terms of metrics. they still haven't closed that store and that store alone isn't used to rate the company as a whole.... 

An x670e board from EVGA would be sick. I can say for certain, if EVGA drops a board soon, ill buy it with a 7800x3d when it releases. then donate my 7700x/asus combo to my brother since he's flat broke.

EVGA needs some new power supplies too. i know they don't really want to adopt the 12 pin connection as per them not even making gpu's (among other issues like founders cards being better than aftermarket cards because #cheaper). my biggest issue with new power supplies.... not enough ports. the 12pin and then 3-8pin. if you have a high end gpu from AMD or previous generation nvidia, you got 3 connections for the gpu and then the new x670e boards need one extra connection to power the motherboard's x16 slots. so youre screwed. which makes no sense. I guess they assume anyone buying these new gen5/atx3 psu's will have a 4000 series with 12 pin.... but that wont be the case. its like they completely ignored normal users. maybe "normal" users can buy older gear? still doesn't make sense. my current psu has eight 8pin slots. if you assume taking 4 away for a dedicated 12 pin, i should still have 4 left. but modern psu's only have 3.... makes no sense. and even then, higher wattage gen5/atx3 psu's should have two 12pin's for those crazy enough to get two 4000 series for god knows what reason. it's like the tech industry has gone insane and getting worse. its bad enough pc cases are all hot boxes now with glass and no airflow....

Yea we need AM5 Socket EVGA you know community would buy it. 

Jacob left and took with him any and all prospects - of the little there was before - of an X670 board with him... He couldn't have done a reveal as part of a swan song act? It may really have not been underway in this sense :bigsad:

I have no clue who the new product manager is to replace Jacob.
