I was looking to pick up the nicer looking sli bridge (100-3W-0031-LR) and was wondering if this will work on a 980 sli setup? I'm guessing it will be fine but figured i'd ask.

Yup, but there currently is a bug that does not allow the LED light to be controlled from software (it is just on). For most people this is ok though.

EDIT: Sorry, correction. GTX 970 is currently not supported for SLI LED function.

Those pesky first world problems, lol.

I have GeForce experience strictly for shadow play, and I made sure to disable everything that would allow it to update or access games or suggest beta or new drivers or anything.

Does the led light up with the GTX 970s ? Will there be a fix for the software control?

Sorry there was an error above. 970 does not support the LED bridge function.

I have two 970s.  Reference models made by nvidia, just purchased couple days ago. I have the evga sli pro bridge and it does light up, but I have no control over the led. Same as the pics of the 980s above, color of the led is kinda blueish purple.

    Quick Tip!

The LED Controller can be installed directly from the NVIDIA folder in your c: drive just by navigating to the application.. You do not need to install geforce experience just for this to function. You need to save it with the "start with windows" selector after setting it up.

Your welcome, I use the same procedure to install PhysX the same way, makes for an easy clean install of the drivers.

The LED is on the PCB, there are only two very small torx bits holding the cover on.. Pictures are courtesy of jpfem on his copperHead 2.0 build log

The lights are just above the EVGA. Notice in the next picture, he changed the color. :-)

Now.. Go look at his build log, and give his Mods Rigs some love..  that is a demand :-P
