Hello,

I have a Titan X Pascal that is showing me tempatures I am unhappy with. I would like to know if this hybrid cooler will fit on my titan...

400-HY-5698-B1

I have been told that anything for the 1080ti should fit my titan... Will this cooler fit?

Thank you for any help.

No. The Ftw3 shroud and vrm cooler is completely different. The water cooler itself will work fine, but if you are going to get an AIO kit, get the correct one right away.get the kit meant for the Titan and 1080ti:

Also, the PCB of the FTW3 is larger.

Thank you so much for your responses. I cancelled my order for the FTW edition and now I am just waiting for EVGA to give me my money back so I can order the correct hybrid cooler.

One last question. Is there a reason I only get the Elite Member $20 off for the FTW edition? Is there a way to get $20 off for 400-HY-5598-B1

Thank you for all the help!

I think they are doing the $20 off because it isn’t selling as well as the other, and it has been around a good bit longer. You would need to talk to EVGA directly to see if they could extend the offer to another cooler, as I am not sure hey would be able to at this time.

Textbook, i just did this install and it worked great however there are a number of things you need to know to save you any heart ache. Be careful the screws for the VRM cooler are not the correct screws (first post below tells you what i used). Also the screws are very fragile. I did not have issues with them breaking but you really need to be sure to use the correct tools (also mentioned in the first post below). Check out these two threads.

Thank you so much for those extra links Mathieas.

Those links really prepared me for what I might face when trying to install this cooler.

I do have 2 questions.

1.) "I did however add a bit more of the fiber thermal pad to that piece to give it some extra height and that seemed to work well"

Where did you put the extra thermal pad?

2.) "I also used a 4mm socket as recommend"

What did you use the 4mm socket for and how did you use it?

Thank you again for the help!

My pleasure to help Textbook.

1) On the back of the card you will notice one power component that is bound to the back plate with some thermal compound. My suggested fix is to use small screws - mine happen to not have the standoff on them(better if they did). This means that the back plate will be less secure (3 screws less). These 3 screws help ensure enough pressure is present on the back plate to press that thermal pad onto the component. I added about twice the height of thermal pad (i borrowed from the VRM pads on my old cooler - there are a couple that are the same thermal grease with fibers in them type as seen on the back of the card) to add height to this sandwich. Now with the 3 missing screws i did not have a loss of contact and everything lays perfectly flat. Please see picture - red square is around the component i am talking about. If only EVGA included 3 more of the stand off screws that are around the GPU(purple squares around GPU) these are the proper screws that are missing from the kit.

2) The 4mm  socket is for the standoff screws. You really need to be be careful with these screws. They are what your back plate will eventually screw back into - see blue and purple squares on image. Some of the screws are not in yet but the 4 around the GPU are and you can get an example.

Ok, I now have my cooler and I am ready to get started.

First question.... is the fan cable supposed to be this short? Who can use this fan? The cable is so short it won't reach to any header on my board.

I have an ASUS Rampage V Edition 10

Actually, the ELITE pricing has been there since the FTW3 Hybrid Kit launched, as a benefit for our ELITE members.  It is not available for the other coolers, however.

Both (shroud fan and radiator fan) fans are powered from the card not the MB or PSU directly. If you care to power them from another source you'll need extension cables but most if not all will advise you to let the gpu power the fans.
