I am sorry for your loss.  With me, it's cancer that motivates me.  Watching Mom deteriorate till she eventually passed away in a hospital bed, well, that was hard enough without needing me to be 6 years old at the time.

Sorry for your loss, s7icky. My prayers go out to your and your faimly.

I too fold for your grandmother.....and my grandmother....and my grandfather.....and my mother. I fold because I feel the sum is greater than its parts. By working together and each doing our part we can help make a change, we can make a difference.

My computer finds cures for diseases and searches for aliens when I'm not gaming...what does yours do?

I watched as my aunt was consumed by cancer one organ at a time until it finally claimed her life a few years back. It was a hard experience watching her die such a painful and uncomfortable death. To further complicate things her SSI benefits and medicare did not provide the best in comfort measures and palliative care. In the last days I know she must have been suffering and could do nothing to stop it. So, there it is. Thats one of the reasons I do it. To hopefully stop such horrible disease processes in thier tracks.

    Fold on!

Watching Alzheimer's take hold of someone bit by bit and systematically shut down organs is very hard.  It happened to my wife's Mom a few years ago and her Grandmother before that too.  I'm very sad to hear that your Grandma was taken by that disease and am sure she is proud of what you are doing going forward.  Folding with you bro for the same reasons...

I fold because of two reasons. 1. I now it is for a great cause and my one day help find a cure for many things. 2 I have had to watch my mother struggle with Multiple sclerosis and 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Spinal stenosis.  I have it running on all 3 of my computers almost 24/7.
