Ya I have ordered three different combo's so far. Sent two back as of today.  Corsair sight has had ram off and on the last couple of business days.  I was browsing their site and saw some vengeance showed up. Gotta be looking around. Some reported Microcenter and Bestbuy stores had some limited stock.

evga is not releasing a ddr4 board they were already asked.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :(

Bit of a shame really - unless DDR5 production suddenly catches up with demand, EVGA are going to lose a lot of potential sales - plus being late to the party probably doesn't help.

I have no desire to pay the price of DDR5 at its current state, gaming its not even worth it on most titles yet. Productivity on some task yes it's worth it. Guess MSI or ASUS will get my money yet again.... =(

Imagine me going from a 3770k to my 12900k. Can’t wait for some ddr5 and EVGA!

Ha I am about to make the same jump form a 8700k to a 12900k. Just need to force myself to open my DDR5 6000 CL40.  I keep feeling someone will be releasing faster memory any day. I am doing a complete clean build so no pressure to get it running yet.

Spent the whole day pulling down my z590 loop and then built my 'temporary' ASUS Tuff Z690 DDR4... only to find that the PCIe#1 slot is DoA (was worried that it borked my 3090, but PCIe slot#2 worked fine)... so frustrating. I almost always bench boards first with a CLC120 and an older air-cooled GPU just to make sure everything is running ok, but for no apparent reason I just jumped into the new build today and FFFUUUUHHHHHHH!!!!!! Murphy's Law. Not happy. Freaking ASUS crap. Only reason I got it is because there's no DDR5 available anywhere for a Z690 build, and unlikely to be any for a few months at least. Now I have to tear it down again. Newegg have approved a replacement (but I have to return the old one first of course), so I'm going to attempt to remove the motherboard without draining the loop since I'm all out of coolant.. should be a challenge. Man, I've gone years without any hardware issues, but damn this year has been insane; my EVGA Z490 Dark KP had the post code display failure issue but otherwise was excellent, but I RMA'ed it because I wanted to sell the motherboard. The replacement mobo was completely DoA. I returned that one and a replacement is en route to me right now. Then my Z590 Dark also had the post code display failure, and I would have waited until EVGA Z690 came out (and some DDR5 ram), but then one of the DIMM slots failed out of the blue, so I am setting up an RMA for that mobo, and that's why I built the ASUS Tuff Z690 today. Gonna rename it ASUS Weak Z690. I was about to sell my laptop too, thank the Gods that I didn't! Now running on a relatively slow 14" laptop with GTX 1060.. quite a difference from the 3090, but glad I have it. No BF2042 for me for a while.

So how's your day going?

Yeah I always set everything up on a bench before moving to my loop...except once....and if course my Rampage IV Extreme had a dead DIMM slot ....murphys law is right !!!!

That impressive .....uninstalling the Mobo without draining ;)

I wasn't sure if I could pull it off, but challenge accepted.. and I managed to remove the ASUS Tuf Z690 motherboard without draining the loop! LMAO.. with no damage or scratches or any harm to the mobo whatsoever! Check out the photo - the CPU block I zip tied to the fan mounts because that block is heavy and it might have pulled out the tubing without support (Optimus Signature V2, made from a 3lb block of solid brass). After removing it, I don't think I'm going to be able to mount the replacement mobo in there without draining and pulling apart the loop, but this was a fun challenge - I didn't even drop a single mounting screw into the case! Winning!

Paper launch only apparently.

edit: lol the Corsair site keeps going in and out of maintenance mode - probably getting slammed with scumbag scalper bots. About 2 weeks ago they had notify buttons up, but they since removed them - hate to think how many hundreds of thousands of notification requests they got.

I got a set of the 6200 CL36 this AM after seeing the Notify button up and then got a order in 5 minutes later. Hopefully back in stock soon.

Lucky bugger! I clicked notify on one of the 5600MHz models a couple of weeks ago, never heard anything since.

Those notify buttons on Corsair.com are worthless.  They're not quick enough.  Gotta use nowinstock.

Thanks - just registered with NowInStock and added the DDR5 ram... sticking with Corsair Dominator Platinums.

Ah nice, I'll have to watch them.  I got my 4800 c34 set off of their site when they put them up, works fine with the Asus 5400 c34 micron profile.

Yeah been frustrating on the Corsair site....2 weeks ago I casually went to the site and WHAT?! Purchase was available....caught me totally off guard..crap..have to log in now...oh no!!! where is my wallet...downstairs...run...get back..hands shaking...get it into my cart...going thru checkout...GONE!!!
I really want a set of Doms....been my go to for a long time w several builds!

Now like you said no "Notify" even available anymore.....the bots n scalpers really have taken the fun out of it...must have been a decent drop on Egg US site yesterday for GSkills as well as a bunch of em on fleabag for sale suddenly......hope they choke on em ;)

Got a notify from NowInStock about 20 minutes ago for 2x16GB Corsair DDR5 5600 C36 which is nice enough (although I'd prefer the 6200 C36 if I had a choice), got it in my cart, tried to check out, and the site has been stalling and crashing ever since. Sigh.

After about 30 minutes I got back in and DDR5 was still in cart, so I checked out to where it confirms my address, and then it stalled again.

After nearly an hour since I started, I finally get in again and my cart is empty and the DDR5 is out of stock. Sigh.

Once it gets in your cart, they should allow reasonable time for these site issues before removing it and letting someone else grab it. Grrrr...

Yeah same thing here...BUT...kept going at it on the Corsair Canada site and finally "success"....got confirmation my order placed and confirmed from Corsair.ca for the Dominator 5600 C36 kit.......also got confirmation today my order I placed on the Egg.ca last Friday shipped GSkill 5600 C36...(that was a total fluke)..I'll be trying em both out and see which works best with the Apex Board.....

It was only thru "Nowinstock" I was able to pull this off.....I got the notifications on Friday that the GSkills were available at MemoryC, so kept checking Newegg.ca and the one kit showed available as "in stock".
Got the notification same as you that the Corsair kits (5600 and 4800) were in stock (US Site), but luckily also available on Canada site...still very frustrating.

I feel your frustration on the Corsair site though....wow....it completely crashed on me several times.....but each time I was able to get back in was shocked to see it still in my cart....twice while entering credit card info it crashed and had to start all over gain.....Im shocked it went thru...!

Glad to see more showing up....the scalpers will have to lower there prices...or eat there stock! GOOD..$1200 for a Dominator kit on fleabag is absolutely ridiculous....these are the same morons selling RTX 3080Ti's for $4.5K !!!!
I hope they're sitting on boxes n boxes of RAM kits!

I got the ram I need and am sure lots of others got their DDR5. I know there are several scammers on the nowinstock site just trying to grab stuff to put on ebay.  Like I have said before, ram is pretty much a one and done purchase for most so any uptick in stock will serve to back fill any shortages long before we see a stable PS5 or GPU market.

Yeah guess the scalpers are figuring this will be like GPU's.....but with a few frequent drops like last Friday and today...not the same at all....even with the last few drops who in there right mind would be "ok" with purchasing a Dominator kit for $1200 !!!

The frustration is real!

Yep that was me today when the site kept crashing with the kit in my cart ;)

Same reaction when I got confirmation !!!

Thats pretty funny Nereus

In 14 yrs of building I have never see anything like this past 18 months, first with GPU's and now DDR5......makes me think...whats next?

Honestly as a middle of the road motherboard owner (msi carbon) I probably should have just saved money and gone with a DDR4 setup until next year when AMD and Intel will likely have faster chips out, ram should be more plentiful and faster and likely a new chip set to provide more PCIe 5 support.
As it is, I may just give my current game rig to one of my kids and start over in spring of 2023.

I9-12900K - MSI Z690 Carbon - EVGA RTX 3080 TI - G Skill 6000 40 40 - Samsung 980 Pro 2TB - Fractal Torrent.

I have always been a first adopter to new tech..(DDR3 and then DDR4)....so no biggie...other than the frustration with availability this time around.....I think this RAM will match up nicely in an Apex.

Thats right though....DDR5 will get better n better, as will the platform..."next year" is always better.....right now I have another full function system with RIV-E / 3930K and 16G DDR3 2133......another MXI-E 9900K 32G 3200 DDR4......both running in different rooms of the house....

This new platform will be open bench for maybe a month until I move into a full loop ;)

Will be interesting to see AMD's answer...then again Intels next year.....good times!!

@rjbarker,
The Samsung G.SKILL kits are difficult to overclock, seems when temps reach above 50c they tap out,.. if you can try to get SK Hynix kit.

Best I can do @ 6000MHz with my Samsung CL40 kit.

That looks pretty decent for your Samsung kit.....did you use one of the pre-loaded Memory Profiles on the Board?
Beggers cant be choosers....I have these 2 kits coming....will sell one of em after I test them ....the GSkill is Samsung
https://www.newegg.ca/g-skill-32gb-288-pin-ddr5-sdram/p/N82E16820374309
This is the Dominator kit that just shipped (Micron I think)

Surely one of those kits will work well with my Board .....why I went Apex this time around, along with the level of BIOS support ;) ....I see Shamino has been busy with regular / frequent BIOS updates....did you try his "Apex Special" Bios yet?

Was that the GSkill 5600 or 6000 that you have running 6000 C34 ? If so thats pretty good...as for the temps....not sure what I'll see for RAM...think my current Dominator DDR4 3200 C14 (I lowered from C16) peak out at 30c - 32c iirc after 30 min of OCCT Memory test.

EDIT: ..just had a closer look...thats Samsung kit is C40 and running 6000 C32 CR1 .....decent man, being able to N1 vs N2!! Everytime I see the results w Apex Boards they always seem to handle RAM well.obviously darn good hw. (I know the Board itself is soooo physically heavy)..I recall watching one of Jayz videos where he had a Z590 Apex and a DDR4 5200 (iirc) kit he couldn't get to post on anything else, cept his Apex....I recall how shocked he was when it posted!

I went Asus for the initial stab at Z690 as well.  Being in EVGA boards for the Z390 on, haven't kept up with Asus.  Where does one go to keep up with these custom bioses?

I'm running the G.SKILL F5-6000U4040E16GX2-TZ5K kit now.  https://www.gskill.com/pr...5-6000U4040E16GX2-TZ5K

While tightening/adjusting timings, bumping up voltages they are difficult to test for stability, as the temps reach 50c within 5-min running Karhu memory test without active cooling.

Samsung memory starts throwing errors soon after reaching 50c while testing, but can be 100% stable with same settings if your actively cooling modules keeping them below 50c. I have a temporary fan cooling them now for testing, but plan on installing water block, and copper heatshields this weekend. 6200MHz is about the limit with Samsung modules regardless of timings or voltage adjustments.
