Got my hybrid kit today.

Just removed the backplate and saw this little white square.

Don't see this in the instructions.

Do I remove this? It seems to be glued into place

Gently remove that if possible. it looks like some sort of defective peice of plastic of some sort. That shouldn't be there but don't break the card, rma worst case.
Edit: i guess thats a thermal pad of some sort.......

    Thanks.

Follow up question, I'm trying to follow these instructions and it says to remove these screws, but these seem to be nuts.

I thought I would only need a screwdriver.

Is it just me, or are these instructions terrible?

They skip completely over removing the FE shroud?

    It is late though.

Thats a 4mm hex nut. If you are super impatient, you can use the end of the screw driver where the bits go in, most should be around that size. But do not un screw all the way, just loose enough so that you can you can finish the job using your fingers.
Better solution ? Get something like this - https://www.amazon.com/gp..._s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The white stuff in the picture above is super annoying and fragile thermal pad.

Wow i couldnt see that picture from my phone i guess. I imagine an adjustable Cresent might also work though not as well as the nut driver.

    Alright.

Everything seems to be done. Ended up taking my sweet time while watching a movie.

Going to clean up cables tomorrow, but I think I'm good.

    HWMonitor shows idle at 25c.

Question though. There was a power cable coming from inside the shroud. That was connected to the cable coming from the radiator fan. That's correct? My cpu cooler pump is plugged directly into the power supply and the fans into the motherboard header. I thought this cooler would be similar, but it's getting power from the PCIE slot?

Time for some stress testing, but I'm very impressed by the cooling even at idle.

So the fan control in after burner is now controlling the radiator fan?

Yes the fan gets power directly from the card which gets power from your PCIE power cables. That way the card controls the fan tomorrow based on GPU temp.

    I think I'm done.

Just wanted to ask if anyone sees any issues with this setup.

Put the radiator tubes on both sides of where the powerlink cables attach

Haven't done any major testing yet, but put the clock to 175 and let unigine heaven run for about an hour. Temperature maxed out at 53c.

Plus the noise levels compared to the FE blower.

    A few extra notes:
     - The included instructions are basically useless. They don't mention what tools you will need and the entire existence of the shroud is ignored.
     - The fan power cable should be a bit longer.

I assume they don't include instructions for the shroud because... I have no idea. Watch a YouTube video next time?
