I see Newegg has received their shipments and in fact the SC BLACK is still available, but I have a AMAZON gift card that I want to put to good use and I am hoping with the best of intentions to get a response.

I might just scratch my AMAZON pre order and get the SC BLACK from Newegg or the ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 TI, but I really want the SC2 I pre-ordered from AMAZON. I really don't understand why AMAZON would not be able to sell, or fulfill pre-orders if they weren't going to get any stock on release day.

I also Called EVGA and AMAZON customer support which both were very professional, but they do not have any information on the supply chain. Amazon states they have received 0 inventory, and EVGA states they have no idea unfortunately of when other retailers will receive these GPU's. This is disappointing when you want something from your preferred company, and there is no time frame to be given on the product of choice. I wish there was better communication on the subject.

Not to sound whiny, but EVGA are pushing their product chain on this launch much slower than other brands IMO. Some people who were first to pre-order directly from EVGA are still waiting on their GPU's while NEWEGG customers have have one up some of the direct EVGA PRE-ORDER customers from the EVGA store which I think they should of been entirely first.

So like the topic header says approximately when will AMAZON receive the custom cards. I will take a guesstimate as well. Cheers

Mods if this is a duplicate subject can you please move it to the correct forum post thanks in advance.

EVGA probably gets fewer cards from nvidia compared to Asus. That and Amazon probably gets a ton of orders as well. Your best bet would be to wait =\

Newegg has not received their shipments for the SC2.  I pre-ordered on 4/8, the card was supposed to release on 4/24 (still shows that on my pre-order), and I confirmed via chat with them today (while battling for my Nvidia promo game code) that they have yet to receive any inventory from EVGA as of 4/26.

Correct, NewEgg has only received the SC Blacks, they have not received any SC2s, I pre-ordered on the first day for NewEgg and I'm still in pre-order status.

@Veratu, you might need to do what I did to ensure you're going to get the promo game code:  https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2655838

Some good info here guys I really appreciate that. I just talked to AMAZON and was told that they are in the process of trying to procure inventory from EVGA. Maybe I will just get the black edition from Newegg.

Thanks everyone, because I thought the SC2s were already being shipped out from Newegg.

Guys, do you ever worry about Amazon or Newegg and where their items coming from?
Don't get me wrong I think their service is awesome I have purchase some HDDs and they were sold and shipped by Amazon, but when I registered them, they were mark as "OUT OF REGION", warranty length was  still the same but obviously some of the parts can be coming from who knows.

I'm asking because I see some items n Amazon that no one else have, but how do you know if it's all legit. I've been getting all my merchandise from either retailer or directly from manufacturer but even then sometimes you can't get things from direct source so you have to use other places.

There were posts on amazon that it does not participate in NVidia cards promotion, i.e. you won't get your free game code.

I always ensure the item says "Shipped and sold by Amazon", if it doesn't, it's a 3rd party and your mileage may vary, and you could be taking on unnecessary risk.

Same with Newegg, if it doesn't say shipped and sold by Newegg, I avoid major brand items.

Your always covered by Amazon if anything wrong happens I guess, or am I wrong here. I just recently started using Amazon but knowing that they  got the item and they are the one sending  its in some ways reassuring.

Not too long ago I got enterprise HDD's worth almost 4K and they were Sold and Shipped by Amazon afterwards I had small issue with 1 of them, Amazon took care of everything, no additional $ came out of my packet, in fact for the trouble Amazon gave me some $ incentive for the trouble I say ...that is class service.

Just an example.. I have 3 Titan Blacks but I want to use 3 more 6 in total for my password cracking and code compiling system and I want to get 3 more and make them single slot.  I found 3 on Amazon and o  Man!!! I was so happy, they where new from the description, how much true was that I still don't know and I almost pooled the trigger, but they were coming from place I never heard of I was trying to call them  for days with no answer.

Amazon is a pool of items, but unless it's sold by Amazon I don't trust other sources, unless I'm just so paranoid and its all good and you just have to put more faith in Amazon.

Amazon prime will take care of you, even if you're past your 30 day purchase date or just test driving date LOL, ask for a supervisor.

That's the kicker right there.  Never buy any product that doesn't have "Shipped and sold by Amazon".  IMHO though, Newegg has gone downhill the last 10 or so years.  I now try to avoid working with them at all.

I always ensure the item says "Shipped and sold by Amazon", if it doesn't, it's a 3rd party and your mileage may vary, and you could be taking on unnecessary risk.

Same with Newegg, if it doesn't say shipped and sold by Newegg, I avoid major brand items.

That's the kicker right there.  Never buy any product that doesn't have "Shipped and sold by Amazon".  IMHO though, Newegg has gone downhill the last 10 or so years.  I now try to avoid working with them at all.
I got burnt like that once on a SATA 3 PCIE controller. I even cancelled the order and called the etailer shop to do so.

I purchased the Amazon prime sell instead and thought all was good. Well that little company I cancelled the previous order with, showed up on my door step a week later ugh.

I called them and also read their very fine print after that stated; on unopened items that there was a 50% restocking fee and opened items were at a 75% restocking fee. I never opened it and just ate the $40 dollars . Lessoned learned about some of these crooked lol fair market business.

Guys, do you ever worry about Amazon or Newegg and where their items coming from?

The "restocking fee" is a scam.  I worked at *insert big name retailer with blue shirts* where we had the restocking fee for opened merchandise.  At first I thought it was justified, after all, the customer opened it, now you have to see it as an "opened item" and take a hit on the price.  The thing is, the restocking fee was 15%, but they would only knock 10% off the price.  And small electronics?  Yeah, sometimes they would charge the restock fee, and then just re-shrinkwrap the item, sell it as new.

When it comes to online stores (3rd party), half of them don't even have the item they are selling in stock.  They are basically a drop ship point.  You order from them, they order it from a warehouse somewhere and ship to you.

Necrobump, but I just got an order update from Amazon saying the SC Black I ordered 4/14 is shipping tomorrow.  This was a shipped and sold by Amazon order as well.

Well, that's something I suppose. I'm still waiting on the SC2 I've had pre-ordered from them for some weeks now. Disheartening to see notifications that Newegg have them in stock while Amazon was nothing but overpriced third-party sales.
