Ive had about a million mice over the past decade.  One of my favs has been the Logitech MX518.  inexpensive, and performs great.  Had 3 of them in total.  Also had the g9, a razer, and even recently bought the Sentinel from cooler master.  But, i just got my favorite last week.  Roccat Kone.  Best feeling mouse ive ever owned, its like it melted into my hands!  Love the looks also.  Pure geekness at its best.

So.  There is my favorite.  What is yours, and why?

I love my Logitech MX-518, I'm on my second one, and I game with it. 5 fully-configurable DPI settings instantly on buttons on the mouse BTW.

    Main (gaming) rig: i7-3930K; Asus Rampage IV Extreme; H100 W/p-p Excaliburs, AS5; MSI 7870 2GD5/OC; Crucial M4 SSD 256GB.
See my primary ModsRigs: Adam for the rest, and I have a second (wife's) rig Asus Rampage III Extreme & 960: Eve.

I love my Razer Deathadder. Had it for 3 years. Finally replaced it with Razer Mamba last month which is nice and wireless, but Deathadder is still my favorite mouse.

Microsoft Trackball Explorer Have no idea why Microsoft stopped making them. Wish I would've know and bought up as many as I could've a while back to resell them for hundreds of dollars!
Reason I like it because you don't have to move entire arm to move mouse. If you use mouse all day year after year like I do you'll start to get CTS with regular mouse but not with this one.

My favorite mouse is the Razer Mamba.  It took some time to get used to because I was so used to my previous Logitech MX510, but once I got used to it, I haven't looked back.

I have the razer mamba, and the microsoft sidewinder, love them both, i primarly use the mamba now since its a far better mouse than the sidewinder, but the sidewinder has its perks too. very large mouse, great for big hands ;)

I have tried a bunch... Logitech MX Revolution, MX11, MX Air, G9 and a few others not worth mentioning

I broke my hands in a car accident (not to mention a bunch of other parts ) so I NEED the right mouse for my hand or I get cramps and stiffness after a very short time (10 minutes)... so far the MX11 is the 'best' because it supports my hand better than the others so I can use it longer without problems.
The batteries give it a decent weight and the first set of Duracells lasted over 4 months...
However, the software is crap, as is their customer service

I am still on the hunt of the 'perfect' mouse.

I was expecting you to say the Revolution gave you the best support, but i guess it does have a high arch, but the Revolution is the best none game rated wireless mouse ive seeen.

you should get a padded mouse pad, that should help with the support and keep all everything straight so it's not putting tension on any tendons or anything, i have that problem, i have a bad wrist from typing to damn much and from work :| thats mainly why i droped the sidewinder, high arch, the mamba is a much lower profile mouse, got a good feel to it ;)

I agree, the MX Revolution IS fantastic, so smooth, but my first one broke and while I sent it for RMA I bought the MX11 and when I got the MX Rev. back, it didn't feel as good - but it is superior in performance 100%.

Please feel free to suggest the "ultimate" mouse pad while we are on the subject

The G500 is the best mouse I ever laid hands on. Fast response, customizable weights, plus well-placed programmable buttons.

I give it 5 out of five stars on the Geek Scale.

6 or more buttons?  Yikes!  I'd need two hands to make that work.

I would really like to try that  Roccat Kone ...Reviews seem great.  Software looked awesome, especially for changing the lighting effects and colors.

    g500.

The Logitech form factor is the best imo and it's always been nearly the same from the 510, 518, g5, and now g500.  I have had them all and its nice to not have to get used to a "new feel".

Logitec won me over with their customer service.   I bought a G-9 it died within a week.  I called Logitec and they sent me out a G-9X to replace it.  They didn't even want the G-9 back. Makes me feel better about buying expensive gaming peripherals from them. Fast and easy customer service.
