Eh? Despite having a long history, the MK franchise basically failed and closed up shop. Penny arcade had a rather humorous summary for what a lot of my friends felt about KI in one of their comic strips. I never really saw what the appeal was in holding down run and block buttons myself or repeatedly tapping the same command inputs 100+ times to perform 1 combo.

Although the games that really stank would have been the myriad of "random" japanese fighting games that used any number of anime icons or misc characters that never actually caught on good enough to even warrent a sequel or even some extra movie or comic plug down the road.
