There are two programs; the EVGA Associates Program, and the EVGA Rewards Program (which used to be called the EVGA Affiliates Program).
 

• The EVGA Rewards Program (which used to be called EVGA Affiliates Program), I'm unsure if it's still open to join, although if you were already a member when the newer EVGA Associates Program started, it still works. With the Rewards Program, anyone registering an EVGA product on EVGA.com and uploading the invoice could also enter a Rewards code (used to be called an Affiliate code) which would generate 2 EVGA bucks for the owner of that code. You can't use your own code or the code of a family member or someone at the same address as you. This program will apparently be phased out completely sometime in the future. This program was basically replaced by the EVGA Associates Program because warranties now follow the serial number of the product rather than the owner who registered it (unless you want to pay for extended warranty), so the encouragement by EVGA to register a product is not what it used to be.

• The EVGA Associates Program is relatively new. If you're a member, anyone else who is *not* a member of the program can use your code and get a discount off their purchase from EVGA.com, while at the same time generating EVGA bucks for the owner of that code. The catch is that if you are a member, you can't use someone else's code to get a discount.. so basically you have to decide whether you would benefit more from getting a discount off all your purchases from EVGA.com, of if you would benefit more from other people using your code to generate EVGA bucks for you, which you can then put towards your purchases from EVGA.com. Oh, and no, you can't join and un-join and join again etc. - once you've joined the program, if you decide to un-join, you can never join back up again.

The other program you see often on the forums is the Associate Code. It saves between 5-10% off of products on the site when you use an associate code at checkout and the member who gets the code used earns between 3-5% of the purchase price in EVGA bucks to use for future purchases. The main detail to keep in mind is if you are an associate reward member you can't use a code to save at checkout and are relying on others using your code for savings.
 
A tip for those who want to use the program is a lot of the people on the forum have a clickable link that should instantly put the associate code in at checkout. You can always make a favorite of that link for when you are shopping at EVGA. For cards like the 3080 which sale out fast it's better to have the code put in for you and earn the savings that way then to try to type in a number. Also because it becomes part of the URL for the website you can refresh the page without the code going away.
