I had the CLCX 280 working fine for several hours. I was watching TV when my PC went into sleep mode and when I woke it up, I get a message that the LCD cap and pump are disconnected.

At the time I had it improperly connect to CPU header on the z690 classified. But it was working and showing stats.

I moved it to the AIO header designated in the z690 classified manual then waited 30 min and powered up again. Getting the same message.

I wiggled the cap and it feels lose again. But it had made proper connection and was fine for several hours prior to this error. Why would the cap lose seat connection on its own?

Have you got a fix for this. I’m having the same issue now myself. I can’t boot my computer it goes into sleep mode or just shuts down.

I had to RMA the device.  I discovered there were bent pins on the pump where the cap connects.  EVGA RMA'ed with a brand new in box factory item.  And it's working flawlessly.

The CAP is necessary to connect to the pump since your power distribution comes through that cable on the side of the cap which controls your pump.  If your cap does not make that connection securely, the pump will not work and thus your CPU will shut down.  If you contact EVGA to RMA, they may need the whole unit back.  I bought the lowest cost CPU fan I could buy for LGA 1700 to cool a 13th gen and got that to run until I got my new unit.

I'm now getting this error with the new product that I RMA'ed a few weeks ago.  My system will be idle, and power down and display this message on the cap.  I can reboot it and the system comes back online and shows the proper display on the cap.  I checked BIOS for the Pump Fan settings to be set to Temp CPU (Z690 Classified), saved changes and rebooted.

After idle again, the system powered down completely and showed the message.  I wiggled the mouse for it to wake up, and it came back up as though nothing had failed.

When this happens, the LED display will sometimes look faded (like the lamp is dimming and going out) and the LEDs on the fans will behave erratically.  The CLCX software will also show the error that the device is not connected.  I've updated BIOS to the latest EVGA has for this board, but it only occurs when system goes into idle state.

No.  Everything I've tried thus far has not worked.  Will have to RMA a second one.  I'm waiting for a response from EVGA's online support, which won't happen until tomorrow.

Issue I'm having is I can't even install the software. Getting an error saying "CLCx installer check fan mode error! Please reinstall try again!" Support has been helping me today but nothing is working. The cooler itself and fans are working great it's just the software.

Uninstall the software. Restart the PC. Find the executable file for the software and right click this and choose install as administrator. (You need to be the administrator of the PC),
