I know this an older thread, but I wanted to watercool my GPU as well as vertically mount it, but as you all have said the 2080Ti XC Ultra takes up 2.75 bracket size. I just wanted to say I appreciate the input it helped a lot, currently I have the original bracket jury rigged with zip ties as close as possible to the actual port, everything works fine, but after seeing a way I can fix it (especially since to water cool a GPU you need to take it completely apart any way, and yes taking apart a 1500$ piece of hardware is a bit nerve wracking but as long as your careful and use anti-static wrist band or mat you'll be fine.) Here's my rig currently for anyone else looking to do something similar. (Please do excuse the wiring, it's a bit messy currently, also had to crop the photo to get below 500kB limit lol)
