I'm on the verge f stepping up my daughter's 2060 KO now her Mesify C is limited in space and I was considering going 3070 but the step-up option is only the FTW cards which are 300mm, had I had her AIO top-mounted (doesn't clear cause of the RAM) it would fit no problem but this is not the case. So, I'm limited to the XC3 style cards but the step-up program doesn't have these listed which is forcing me to go to the 3060Ti cards... yeah, I save money but I wanted to spend it on a 3070 which is comparable to that of a 2080 Ti. I could try to sell it and go on the hunt but would much rather go through EVGA... my step-up expires mid this month, do I have to settle?

That is the current list they are offering so you will have to choose one of those. You will also have to enter step up before your window closes and you can't cancel it after that date either otherwise you couldn't start another step up. Either get the 3060 Ti or get the 3070 and buy a new case that it will fit in.

Remove a fan from radiator? I had to do that in my old case with 2080.

It is a shame, really. I do believe a FTW3 card of any sort can fit but it's quite snug. Last night I went into surgery and tried to move the rad around... the motherboard's RAM slot placement is too high on the board and gets in the way of a top mounted rad even if I install the rad first then the RAM the fans get in the way. I will be gimping the cooling if I remove a fan. So, I went against tech Jesus consent and put the rad tubes up (originally had them down) to clear the card. I believe with tubes up it should clear both 3060 XC3 type cards and FTW3. New case is currently not an option being that I just purchased the Meshify this year. A Meshify 2 would be pretty cool or a O11Dynamic Mini too... I'll look into it.

Will the fans fit under the hood in the front. Like rad inside and fans outside? Tried looking up your case but not sure what one you have really. Pop off the front and see if there is enough room to move them outside. Worth a shot Also looks real similar to mine. I was able to move the rad and fans up against the side to gain room for ram. Its real tight back there by the ram but it worked.

I would have to see, I don't think there is enough room between the front filter and the cage, does look tight. The case is a Meshify C, I spoke to someone on reddit about how he top mounted with the same ram I have and it was the way the motherboard manufacturer placed the ram slots. Seems on my board the ram slots are a bit higher than the gigabyte board he had. I'm going to check out behind the front bezel to see if it will clear should allow more room. Looking at some pics on google a 3080 FTW3 can fit in the case no AIO front mounted. if there is just fans it fits with like 10 to 15mm to spare. Might have to do some modding to the front and the filter. Thanks for the insight. :) Save some money from buying a new case, even though I don't mind taking things apart and rebuilding it heh.

Once I get home I'm going to place the desktop on the chopping block, re-access the front and check clearance. I have till the 22nd to figure out a solution, heh. If it works, there will be a 3070 destined for my daughter's build and I will be painting the shroud white. :)

You really don't have to worry about having the tubes up on your system. You may get some audible pump wine, but you don't have to worry about risking damage.

I know, I had an older system running a 2600K with a Corsair H100i Extreme 240mm AIO, front mounted with tubes up and never had any issues with bubbling nor pump whine. The PC is still running to this day, I gave it to a friend and running like a champ. Originally built it back in 2011 and AIO added back in 2015.

I moved my setup from the Mesh C in anticipation of buying a 3080. I knew it would be a tight fit, too close for comfort with a front radiator setup. It would have fit with a few mm's to spare. Cooling was another concern. I now have a lian li lancool mesh ii with 7 fans, two of which blows cool air up into the gpu, helping push warm air being expelled from the gpu up and out through the top mounted case fans. I find it easier to work with the lian case than I did the Mesh + cable management looks much better. I actually had fun doing the case swap haha.

I hear ya, I too have a Lian Li case but the O11Dynamic XL (Reddit approved edition, heh) for my personal rig. I sold my old Corsair 570x Crystal in anticipation for the 3090 fearing it wouldn't fit plus, improving my airflow. It's teal now lol. I'm actually eyeing the O11Dynamic Mini now if things don't workout with the front bezel.

@}{yBr!D^ O11Dynamic is a awesome case I am currently getting ready to build one for my brother. I love the look and the space for wire management. I wish i would have seen it for me, for that matter I just may do a swap soon.

It's a simple box of sexiness, I simply love it. I can't stop looking at it when I'm near it. So, the Mini is a strong contender if I can't place the rad as we spoke about.

Have you thought about low profile RAM. I have a fractal R6 case and went that route so the top rad would fit. I use the Corsair LPX Vengence

For that I'll go crucial ballistix rgb since this is for my daughter the flashiness is something she'd like. ...but if you think about it the RAM for 16GB (already currently in the PC) is worth the same as a new case (compared to the Dynamic Mini) ... toss up, really. I'll take your suggestion under consideration after I see if the front cover can house the fans. ty
