Mailed mine on Monday, they received Tuesday 1030AM, shipped my 3080 that evening and I just got it today. Turnaround time is amazing.

Yes, EVGA uses UPS--It's been long enough for us all to forget  , but you chose shipping yourself from several speed options when you first signed up for the step up option in a drop down menu. If you haven't already, you can sign up for UPS My Choice for free and it should give you a window of 3-4 hour approximate time frame on day of delivery plus you can watch the truck it's on get GPS tracked on a map live. Also, FYI signature required was suspended due to pandemic and not sure it's back in effect yet or not so even if it says sig. req'd probably Driver will leave it. Other nice thing about UPS My Choice, for a small fee ( IIRC $5 ) you can divert your packages anytime before delivery to any UPS alternate pickup location like a UPS store, or many drug stores and the like designated as alternate pickup spots. Enjoy your long awaited shiny new card!

So, since the 40xx series will probably be released before I get my step up are you going to send me that instead? :P I feel like by the time I get my 3080 it will be last generation.

Ah, yes I do remember choosing the shipping now. Only because I just looked...ha. Shipping Cost + $25.73, so must have chose 3-Day. Also having it delivered to the UPS Store near me. Been doing that awhile now, packages arrive approx. 9:30am as opposed to up to 6pm in the evening. We do not have a regular UPS driver doing our area it's pretty much a different driver every day. Packages arrive in not so good of condition.

It's been so long, but thinking back wish I chose next day air or even 3 day. Seems I chose ground. I wish they'd let you change the shipping method when you make the payment. I'll survive until Monday whatever the case.

I got mine on Amazon, I bought it a couple days after the 3080 was released. The majority are sold out at the moment I assume. I don't see the list of cards that allow you step up or I'd look around for ya. The one I purchased is sold out at the moment.

Everyone who's getting their step up had cards well before the shortage right now. I was able to purchase a 2070s from bestbuy.com on Sep 19 and pick up the same day. I got there and there were still 3 left in the case. You're going to have to get lucky with a drop for a retail sample of a 3000 series card as I don't think the 2000 series are being sold anymore. Even if you could, it would be pointless to step up to the 3080 since you're behind tons of people. The 3080ti will be out soon anyways.

I got my 2070 super ($519.99) on june 24th since I knew their would be a shortage and the prices would get jacked up. I was smart and told people to buy now or wait a long time and pay higher prices. Not many listened and are now regretting it :)

Didn't have a box that would fit so I took it to the UPS store, paid them to package it up and all.. they took my card to the back and packaged it where I couldn't see (I wrote the RMA number on the box before they packaged it) and insisted I was okay to go...
Just checked the tracking number and it says "Weight: 0.8lbs"
Hoping they didn't steal my card and send an empty box back to EVGA...

Yes, but don't think insurance covers an empty box being delivered. We'll see, hoping they just entered the weight wrong.

I doubt that happened, when I shipped back a 5900x they took it to the back and packaged it up as well. All went well but I was nervous also. You should be fine, just make sure you have receipts and the time when you shipped the package. Did they weigh the card in front of you?

Does tracking show any progress? I've noticed sometimes the weight is not correctly listed until the package enters the actual shipping process.

I did exactly the same. And now the card I paid $500 for is going for $1300 or more. Wild. So fortunate to have up'd to 20xx gen when I did, at least I have a decent card to play with while we wait.
