Hello all. I was finally able to purchase a 3070 a couple days ago through the newegg shuffle. If the 3080 ti is released within the next couple of months as rumored, would I be able to join that step up queue?
You have 14 days to signup for stepup unless you register the extended warranty. Which gives you 90 days so if the ti release is within that timeframe then yes

I think you'll have to purchase the extended warranty if you are outside of that 14 day period. But the warranty isn't too much I think.

You have 14 days to register the card. Then you have 90 days total to join the step up program. If you do not register the card within 14 days of your invoice receipt, you will have to purchase the extended warranty in order to be eligible for the 90 day step up window.

Some 9/21 ppl have gotten the step 2 as well. You’re only a couple hours away from it, by the list. And they seem to go out later in the afternoon, so there’s still a chance today, although I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t go out until next week.

My card arrived at EVGA today at 10am. I shipped ground because I'm in CA, so I didn't feel the need to splurge on shipping. Now to wait for the confirmation and shipment back...

Not 100% accurate. They confirmed if you were in-queue and your slot came up prior to April 16th, you would pay the pre-hike prices. For the folks in the queue whose step 2-5 didn’t come before April 16th, they pay the hiked price.
This is accurate!
And it really is a BS situation. I have been in this queue for almost 6 months and there is no way I'm going to progress before the end of next week, not to mention the 3 weeks worth of people ahead of me that are going to probably get hosed as well. I realize $70 isn't all that much of an increase when you look at the total cost of the card, but to keep this fair, the cut off should have been the date of the price increase announcement or actual price increase. This isn't going to keep me from completing my step-up and damn sure won't change my opinion that EVGA is my preferred GPU brand, but it really is a bit of an annoyance.

My card came today. Step Up process is officially done. EVGA came through during a literal pandemic and silicon shortage and delivered all while I was still able to use the 2070s. 10/10 would step up again. Goodluck everyone. It's been a fun 6 months.

Well got the ship notification, est delivery Monday. Hoping I get it sooner. Shipping from CA to NY which is why it takes so long.
Likely I'll be working on my laptop the rest of the week still! First world problems lol. Glad I paid next day air shipping my card back even though it cost a small fortune.

With 22 Step-2's on Mar 17 and 33 on Mar 30 I'm hoping Apr 12 sees 33 more. I'm 363 on the list 09/22 14:09. I keep going down the list more and more every day however. I am so close to the price increase but really it's not a huge deal, just glad for the opportunity to step up. FedEx or UPS shipping is gonna be expensive as well. $40 Fedex ground from IL. Probably will go 2 or 3 day depending on day of week I send card.
