Not 100% accurate. They confirmed if you were in-queue and your slot came up prior to April 16th, you would pay the pre-hike prices. For the folks in the queue whose step 2-5 didn’t come before April 16th, they pay the hiked price.

I was hopeful that it would make it to me(9/25 @ ~3pm) when they announced the price hike. It didn't help that after the announcement, there was practically no movement for a month.

The price hike is only $70 bucks. $879 vs $809 based on their retail page. The increase is minimal and still an absolute steal compared to what other manufacturers are charging retail for their 3080s. Nobody paying hiked prices should feel cheated in any way imo. Especially when the card has literally doubled in value since the start of Step Up on the second hand market.

However, this is highly unlikely to happen and would not be something I would worry about.

When I got in the Step Up Program they only had me paying shipping, now I had to pay an extra 50 bucks. Figured this was because of the price hike.

Signed up on Sept 24th, never felt so close yet so far. I can see Nvidia discontinuing the 3080 for the 3080ti before we even get a chance to buy it and saying that it's because of limited production time at tsmc and they didn't anticipate the demand ......again.

They don't produce these chips at tsmc though. They're made by Samsung.

When you first signup they do some back of the napkin math and then correct everything when you actually pay. Mine shows $20 something now but I know the real cost will be higher because of the difference in card prices.

Shipped mine out Friday UPS next day air, EVGA received it today with a confirmation email that they have it. Shows an estimated ship date of 4/8 now. No complaints here so far.
