wait............ They are still filling orders for launch day step up sign ups?

Yeah, they are only about to orders placed by 1pm EST on September 17th. Clearly the step up program isn't an EVGA priority. I know several people who have entered the queue to be notified that they can purchase a card outright that have already got their notification and these people entered that queue sometime in October. EVGA is clearly prioritizing new sales rather than step up. 

yoo if its not too much troubles could you possibly give me your overclocking settings for your i9?

oof, im still waiting for 9-24 9am lol. the further we get the faster itll start moving.

imagine being number 330 of this list ... lol after the 17th list will fly.. the most signups were day one because after that people hurried to buy a 20xx series for stepup  and those items where short in supply so signups declined greatly after initial launch
 

Is the owner no longer adding people to the list? I singed up weeks ago and still haven't been added.

 
 
So I have a decision to make.  And I am sort of annoyed because I don't want to make the wrong one. 
 
My primary rig: is based on a 5950x and a EVGA 3090 FTW3, NZXT Z73 CPU Cooler (really solid), 64 GBs of ram (g.skill 3600 mhz), Thermaltake ARGB 51 View Case (its really big and I put 9 fans in there beyond my CPU cooler radiator), Phanteks Revolt-x 1200 watt PSU, Asus CH viii Formula MB..love it.. but I need 2 computers since its work at home now for more then half the time. 
 
My Secondary rig:
So I have spare parts:  EVGA 2080 Super FTW3 (Still on step up, looks like end for April or May for a EVGA 3080 FTW3), 3950X CPU (hey its still good), assorted SSDs 1tb and 500gb, some cable management combs.
 
I ordered some more parts:  Case - NZXT 710i, CPU Cooler - NZXT Z73 360 mm, MB - Tachi x570 Razer, Ram - 64 GB G.Skill 3600 mhz, storage - Adata 2tb m.2,  PSU -  Phanteks Revolt-x 1200 watt (great luck in my first rig)
 
In both rigs I am using Cablemod certified custom length cable replacements.
 
Right now I am on notify for a 3090 Kingpin.  I am stuck on the 710i case, I love the look and ease of use.  I am not sure it can fit two 360 mm radiators, manufacturer info says it should but there could be fitment issues.
 
So here's my question - Is it worth waiting until May for the final GPU?  or would it be smarter to just o with the Kinpin on notify and sell my 2080 super for whatever i can get for it?  or is it smarter to buy a 3070 or 80 of any brand for under 1k and sell the 2080 super for whatever I can get for it?

Agreed. I have tried tweeting to Jacob a few times and never received any sort of response. 

It says plainly on the step up page that they can not tell you your position in the queue and jacob tells people on twitter very often that he can't help with that.

Step up completed today, new card arriving Wednesday. There’s hope!!

I dunno I think I am waiting for my 3080 even if it’s next summer...

The main post isn't being updated. And I don't mean with new people joining the queue. It's not being updated by people who are receiving the step up email. Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of this thread?

Everyone has shifted to the google spreadsheet linked in the first post. There is a link to update info and a link to follow the progress. Anytime the OP edits the original forum post it gets taken down for an hour for mods to review or some reason. It's helpful for people to still post when they get an update but be sure to post your original Step 1 time.

Anxiously waiting to see if a few more Step Ups get pushed through this week. Doubtful with the Holiday week, but fingers crossed.

yeah but regardless of that youll have to wait til january 5th as of right now my card was delivered at evga today but i might even have to wait til january to get my 3080 because december 24th is the last day evga is going to be open til january :/

my card has been sitting at EVGA since Monday morning. they marked it as received this morning, and they still haven't shipped out my 3080. :(

EVGA HOLIDAY NOTICE: EVGA has limited operating hours in observance of the upcoming Christmas and New Year Holidays.

Office: The EVGA offices will be closed from 6:00 PM on 12/24/20 to 9:00 AM on 1/4/21.

yeesh. i would imagine that they can get it out before then. they still have and hour or so today, plus all day tomorrow and Thursday. if not, i'm gonna be a sad man. :) i don't feeling like waiting until 1/7 to do any gaming.

Well.... looks like no step ups this week.

well, yeah because CP2077 killed lots of GPUs and eVGA gotta set aside cards for RMA.. lol

Guys, Christmas came a couple days early. 3080 came today and its a BEAST of a card. Also if anyone’s interested, they took off the red lipstick. Edge plates are now all black 

 
They're black on yours, but people are still getting red trim. It's random at this point.
