Oh hey, I finally see my information in the tracking doc! Did everyone who got the new year's burst of Step 2's put their info in the sheet?

 in oct/nov i was number 330 on the list ... now it at 480 i think lol more people added their info but still so many that havent jumped into the forum post yet. still looking march/apr for me . which is right at my bday.. i'll take it

I just submitted my information, looks like I am roughly number 186.  Sept 17th @ 15:29.  Looks like we will be here a while!  Also, anyone else annoyed that Nvidia is announcing new cards but cant even fill orders for the "old" ones??

Due to ongoing events, EVGA has made price adjustments on the GeForce RTX 30 Series products. This change was necessary due to several factors and will be effective January 11, 2021. EVGA has worked to reduce and minimize these costs as much as possible.

For those who are currently in the EVGA.com Notify Queue system or Step-Up Queue, EVGA will honor the original MSRP pricing through April 16th, 2021 if your purchase position is processed before this date.

So looks like EVGA will be honoring original quoted prices till April 16th to those that are already in the queue.

I received the step 1 email on the 25th at 1:50 AM.

Yeah, it's really good on EVGA to honor their originally quoted price. I'm assuming the April 16th date is the day the EVGA has to officially pay the tariffs for new orders as they may have an existing arrangement that expires on that date or something that allows them to not eat the $$ per card tariff. EVGA could be just like every other company and charge the higher MSRP now to everyone and just pocket the price hike totals and no one would be the wiser since it's an actual trade law that went into effect. This is speculation of course and I really have no idea of what their situation is but having worked in a warehouse as a shipping and receiving manager for some years in my younger days, I know there are signed deals and arrangements made regarding shipping goods and tariffs/taxes.
 
So who really knows? The bottom line is EVGA is trying to help out their customers and at the end of the day that's good enough for me. As for you I would think that after they get past the day 1 orders placed, things should be quicker as that's the day with the most orders by a large margin if the unofficial list is anything to go by. 

Yeah, we still are. However, it should move faster than what the first day has. I'm just glad that EVGA is honoring the price for the people still on the list. Hopefully, they get to me before April lol.

Question. Im currently in the step up queue for the 3080 and have been since about the 1st week of October. Will i have to pay the new price if I dont receive my step2-5 by April 16th?

It's been almost 4 months and they're still on the first day of orders? What a joke. I wonder how many people have step up requests that they'll never actually do, clogging up the system 

In the words of EVGA's own step-up page: "In the computer hardware world, 90 days is a lifetime!"  If you consider the new cards looming in the not too distant horizon, the inability to fulfill these promptly seems to defeat the whole purpose of the program (i.e., offering the peace of mind that you own the latest parts).  It's something, I guess, but not in a million years did I expect the snail pace of the list or the prospect of getting my replacement well into 2021.
